Taylor Swift’s first London Eras Tour show took place at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 2024. The most useful photo selections capture two sides of that night: fans making their way through Wembley and London, and Swift performing on stage. These galleries offer a considered look at the occasion, not an exhaustive or definitive ranking of its images.
Start with the date: June 21, 2024
Swift’s official event listing identifies the Friday, June 21 concert at Wembley Stadium in London as the first night. That date matters: London’s opening weekend continued on June 22 and 23, and galleries covering the whole run may mix photographs from all three shows.
Fans and London before the show
For the build-up beyond the stage, Time Out’s fan-focused gallery, published June 22, 2024, is a strong place to begin. Photographer Orlando Gili’s images and captions follow concertgoers at Wembley and around the city, including at Boxpark Wembley, on the Tube and at a station. The gallery also shows outfits and the friendship-bracelet tradition that became a visible part of the fan experience.
These pictures are about the event’s atmosphere and the journey to it, rather than a visual record of Swift’s performance. Time Out described Wembley as a 90,000-capacity venue; that is the venue’s stated capacity, not a verified attendance count for the June 21 show.

Onstage photographs explicitly dated June 21
For performance images with a clear opening-night date, use the captions in ABC News’ London photo gallery, published June 24, 2024. Its captions identify Swift performing at Wembley on June 21 and credit photographer Kevin Mazur/Getty Images. The same gallery also includes June 22 and June 23 photographs, so check each caption rather than treating every image on the page as an opening-night shot.
ABC News also reported Swift’s reflection on the first London weekend: “Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal. Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME…” That is Swift’s statement as reported by ABC, not an independently audited attendance figure.
Use weekend-wide galleries for atmosphere, not date certainty
Wembley Stadium’s retrospective gathers images and moments from the June 21, 22 and 23 shows. Its captions document the broader visual scene: fans by the mural and arch, bracelet exchanges, personalized denim, handmade signs, phone torches, the “Swiftie Steps” and Swift performing.
That breadth makes the retrospective useful for understanding the weekend’s shared spectacle. But its three-date grouping does not establish that every fan or venue image was made on June 21. For an opening-night gallery, include a Wembley image only when its individual caption or verified image metadata supports that date.

How to make the selection accurate and useful
A strong opening-night selection can move from arrival and place, to fan details, to the performance, then close on a clearly captioned crowd or stadium view. Keep the distinction between fan scenes and stage photographs clear, and make the date and photographer credit visible in every caption where known.
- Check the date: Prefer images captioned June 21 or supported by verified metadata; do not infer the date from a gallery’s overall title.
- Vary the subjects: Pair the stage with arrival scenes, outfits, bracelets and the city route to show more than the performance alone.
- Credit the image: Name Orlando Gili for the Time Out gallery and Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for the ABC News June 21 performance photos.
- Confirm reuse rights: A credit is not permission to republish. Obtain a license from the rights holder or an authorized provider before using any image. Getty editorial-photo listings are licensing leads, not automatic permission; some listings restrict standalone publication.
For a broader collection of tour photography
The official Taylor Swift UK Store listing describes The Official Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book as a 256-page hardcover with more than 500 performance images spanning every era, plus rehearsal and behind-the-scenes photographs. Its listed release date is December 7, 2024. The listing does not promise coverage of the June 21 London performance, so it should not be treated as a substitute for a date-specific gallery.
