Is the film based on real events?
Partly, in the sense stated by ZEE5: the present-day missing-reporter case is fictional, and the story draws on historical incidents in 1946 Bengal. That describes the film’s construction, not a certification of historical accuracy. The BBFC lists a UK release date of 5 September 2025, Hindi language, and an approximate runtime of 202 minutes. ZEE5 lists the film at 2 hours 58 minutes, with Hindi and Bengali audio, and says it has streamed on the platform from 21 November 2025.
