The Beekeeper is a 2024 action thriller starring Jason Statham as Adam Clay, a former operative of a secret organization called the Beekeepers who turns on the criminal network behind a phishing scam. David Ayer directed it from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer. The film runs 105 minutes and is rated R. It is a fiction film, not a documentary, so readers looking for nonfiction material on beekeeping or fraud will not find it here.
What the movie is about
Clay keeps bees for Eloise Parker, and the story begins when she is defrauded through a phishing scam. Clay directs his anger at the operation behind the scam, and the campaign grows from a personal grievance into something much larger. The official Miramax synopsis puts it this way: “One man’s brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as ‘Beekeepers.’”

Rotten Tomatoes scores are a snapshot. When the film’s page was checked on October 8, 2026, it showed a 71% Tomatometer from 181 reviews and a 92% Popcornmeter from more than 2,500 verified audience ratings. These numbers move as new reviews and ratings arrive, and they measure the share of reviews or ratings that are positive, not a consensus of all viewers.

Box office
The Associated Press reported on January 28, 2024 that The Beekeeper had passed $100 million worldwide by its third North American weekend. In that weekend it earned an estimated $7.4 million, based on studio estimates, and its domestic running total stood at $42.3 million. These are mid-run figures from January 2024. They are not final lifetime totals, and the cited reporting does not establish a final worldwide gross.
