In that same August 2021 essay, Clark said he had reached ten years in recovery. That is a milestone he reported at the time; it should not be read as a current recovery-duration count. He described recovery as central to his life, writing, “Without my recovery, I have nothing — it is my super power.” He also said, “I want say that if I can do it, anyone can, recovery is absolutely possible.” Those are his personal reflections, not clinical advice or a guarantee that everyone will have the same experience.
His work related to recovery
Clark said he founded Release Recovery and the Release Recovery Foundation to help people affected by addiction. In his 2021 essay, he also reported completing six New York City Marathons. Those are personal details he shared; the available sources do not establish the organizations’ current services or clinical outcomes. A 2021 Bachelor Nation interview about his recovery work offers additional context, but does not verify present-day organizational details.
