The ten designs below are selected for historical importance, reported valuations, distinctive details and their place in the runway timeline; “iconic” is an editorial judgment, not an official ranking.
How the Fantasy Bra moved from catalog to runway
Victoria’s Secret introduced the concept in its 1996 holiday catalog with Claudia Schiffer’s Million Dollar Miracle Bra. The early Fantasy Bras were catalog features, not runway looks. The first to appear in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was Heidi Klum’s Heavenly Star Bra in 2001. That distinction matters: the first Fantasy Bra dates to 1996, while the first runway Fantasy Bra came five years later. Vogue’s history of the Fantasy Bra covers both milestones.
10 memorable Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bras
Values below are reported appraisals or valuations, not confirmed sale prices. The figures come from the cited publications and official press material; they are not a like-for-like market appraisal. Design details and accessories help explain why these pieces stand out beyond their headline numbers.

Why the $15 million bra stands out
Bündchen’s Red Hot Fantasy Bra is the headline design because its reported $15 million appraisal is the largest figure in this selection. Vogue describes more than 1,300 gems, including Thai rubies. The number should be understood as an appraisal, not proof of a buyer or completed sale. The 1996 Million Dollar Miracle Bra, by contrast, was reported at $1 million and belongs to the catalog’s earlier chapter.

What the valuations do—and don’t—tell you
A reported value captures one aspect of these creations, but it does not establish what someone paid or what the piece would fetch in a sale. The sources use different descriptions, including “appraised” and “valued,” so the figures are best read as reported valuations attached to each design, not as an independently audited price ranking.
Materials and format also distinguish the bras. Some were elaborate standalone designs; others formed part of a coordinated look. The 2007 Holiday Fantasy Bra came with a matching thong and garter belt, while the official 2013 name explicitly includes a belt. The 2013 press kit specifies more than 4,200 gems, 18-karat gold and a 52-carat pear-shaped ruby. In 2016, Tookes’s Bright Night design was reported to include more than 450 carats of diamonds and emeralds. These details make clear why a single dollar figure cannot describe the craftsmanship or visual character of every piece.

The final runway-era chapter in this selection
The 2018 Dream Angels Fantasy Bra, worn by Elsa Hosk, had a reported $1 million valuation despite its use of more than 2,100 stones and a 930-hour creation process. Teen Vogue reports that its diamonds were lab-grown and that it also used responsibly sourced topaz. Glamour quoted Hosk saying, “I feel really, really, really special,” about wearing it. The details offer a contrast with earlier gemstone-heavy designs: the reported value alone does not capture the materials choices or labor involved.
