The deal was real, but it is no longer available. Disney’s four-month Disney+ and Hulu Duo Basic promotion cost about $2.99 per month—roughly $12 total—and ended on March 30, 2025. It should not be treated as a live offer now.

The available reporting does not establish every original restriction, such as the precise inactivity period for returning subscribers, whether third-party-billed accounts qualified, or the exact renewal price. Those details should not be inferred from later Disney promotions.

When did the promotion end?
The advertised deadline was March 30, 2025. Old pages, search results, or social posts may still describe it as ending “soon,” but that wording referred to the March 2025 promotion. The four-month offer is not a current $12 deal.
How much did subscribers save?

The basic Duo tier is most useful for households that will watch both libraries and can tolerate commercial interruptions. Premium costs more but is a better fit if downloads and ad-free on-demand viewing matter. “Ad-free” is not necessarily an absolute guarantee for every live or linear program, where promotional material or advertising may still appear.

Does Hulu appear inside Disney+?
Eligible bundle subscribers can watch selected Hulu content in the Disney+ app, but Disney says additional Hulu content remains available through the Hulu app. A Disney+ subscription should not be understood as putting every Hulu title in one interface. Details are available on Disney’s Duo plan page.
What to check before subscribing
- Automatic renewal: Disney subscriptions generally renew automatically and continue at the applicable recurring rate unless canceled. The subscriber agreement does not supply the exact post-promotion price for the expired $12 offer.
- Cancellation: Review the offer’s terms and renewal date. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, but promotional terms can differ.
- Existing accounts: Current subscribers may not qualify for introductory pricing or may need to change plans instead of starting a new subscription.
- Third-party billing: Accounts billed through Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or another partner may have separate eligibility and cancellation rules. Cancellation may need to be handled through that provider.
- Taxes: Advertised prices may not include applicable taxes.
- Plan changes: Switching tiers during a promotion can change or end promotional pricing.
- Renewal reminders: Record the renewal date and displayed rate before completing payment.
