Tessa Blanchard returned to TNA competition at Genesis on January 19, 2025, facing Jordynne Grace in her first TNA match since March 2020. Blanchard won by pinfall after using an exposed turnbuckle. Reports also described hostile chants, including “She’s a racist,” as well as a split “Let’s go Tessa” and “Tessa sucks” exchange. Those chants document audience reaction; they are not proof of the accusation.
What happened in Blanchard’s return match?
TNA Genesis took place at the Curtis Culwell Center in the Dallas area on January 19, 2025. ProWrestling.net reported that the event aired on pay-per-view, TNA+, and TrillerTV. ProWrestling.net’s live report covered the event.
Blanchard wrestled Jordynne Grace in her first TNA match since March 2020, according to POST Wrestling. The match was competitive, but its finish turned on the exposed turnbuckle: Blanchard removed the pad, sent Grace into the exposed corner with a bulldog, then hit her Magnum finishing move and scored the pin. Fightful also reported the finish and win.
What did fans chant at Tessa Blanchard?
POST Wrestling reported chants of “Fuck you Tessa” and later “She’s a racist.” Fightful also recorded those chants, along with “Let’s go Tessa” and “Tessa sucks” in a dueling exchange. PWTorch’s on-site report likewise described a racist-themed chant.

These reports describe words heard from audience members, not a finding about whether the accusation is true. The reported mix of hostile and supportive-or-critical chants also means the reaction should not be reduced to a single view shared by the entire crowd.
What did Blanchard say after the match?
Cageside Seats attributed the line “I’m back to show everybody who Tessa Blanchard is” to Blanchard in a post-match, in-character TNA promo. It was part of the wrestling segment, not a factual response that resolves the accusation voiced in the chants. Cageside Seats’ report covered the return and promo.

What the reports establish—and what they do not
Contemporaneous event reports establish the match result, the exposed-turnbuckle sequence, and that audience members chanted the quoted words. The available reporting cited here does not establish the underlying accusation as fact or provide a basis to adjudicate it. The crowd’s language should therefore be attributed to those reports rather than presented as a conclusion about Blanchard.
