The latest proceedings update in the sources available here, published in January 2026, says the case was on pause; it does not confirm whether the divorce was later finalized.
What did Teddi Mellencamp say?
In an Instagram statement on November 2, 2024, Mellencamp said she had made the “difficult decision to file for divorce.” She said her priority was her children and their privacy and wellbeing, and explained that she was speaking publicly to address speculation and rumors. Bravo quoted her statement:
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter. Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
When was the divorce petition filed?
The public announcement came on November 2, 2024. The Los Angeles Times reported that Mellencamp filed her petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court on November 1, one day earlier. The Times’ account of the court documents said they cited irreconcilable differences, listed a separation date in October, and sought physical and legal custody of the couple’s three children.

Are Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave divorced?
The available updates do not establish that the divorce was finalized. In January 2026, Bravo reported that the legal proceedings had been put on pause as the couple focused on family and Mellencamp’s health. That report does not say whether the case later resumed or ended in a judgment. A paused proceeding is not confirmation of a final divorce.
What is known about their relationship and family?
Mellencamp and Arroyave married in July 2011, according to TV Insider. November 2024 coverage described their marriage as lasting more than 13 years. They share three children, and Arroyave has a daughter from a previous relationship, according to Bravo. Mellencamp specifically asked for her children’s privacy, so further personal details are not necessary to understand the filing.
