Ted Lasso Season 4 has already premiered. Apple released the first episode globally on August 5, 2026, correcting older reports that described the season as a 2026 or 2027 return. New episodes are scheduled weekly on Wednesdays, with the announced 10-episode run ending on October 7.
Apple’s official press page now lists August 5 as the Season 4 release date. The season is streaming through Apple TV in more than 100 countries and regions.
Ted Lasso Season 4 release schedule
| Release | Date | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Episode 1 | August 5, 2026 | Available |
| Episode 2, “Curiouser and Curiouser!” | August 11–12 release window | Available during the weekly release window |
| Episodes 3–10 | Weekly Wednesdays through October 7, 2026 | Scheduled |
Apple’s announcement establishes a weekly Wednesday schedule after the premiere, for a total of 10 episodes when the August 5 opener and October 7 finale are counted. The second episode appeared around the usual Apple TV refresh window on August 11 in the United States and Canada, corresponding to the published August 12 weekly date. Because the exact availability time can differ by territory and device, viewers should check the Apple TV app or tv.apple.com rather than rely on one universal release hour.

What Season 4 is about
Season 4 changes the competitive focus of the series. Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team, rather than resuming the original setup of coaching AFC Richmond’s men’s side.
Apple describes the season as a story about Ted and the team learning to take risks and “leap before they look.” The new premise keeps the fictional Richmond football world but introduces a different team, sporting environment and set of relationships. Apple’s official description says “second division” or “second-division women’s football team”; it does not establish that the team is a Premier League club, so that broader label should not be assumed.

Apple’s cast-and-crew listing also names Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely among the Season 4 cast. Contemporary reporting associates Feely with Henry Lasso, but Apple’s official cast page confirms his participation without providing every character attribution. Character identifications should therefore be checked against the relevant episode credits or an updated official listing before being treated as definitive.
Not every formerly prominent character has been confirmed in the Season 4 materials reviewed for this update. It is more accurate to describe the specific performers Apple has listed than to claim that the entire original cast returns.

Season 4’s return may also interest viewers looking for show-related gifts. The licensed Ted Lasso Party Game is a physical tabletop option for fans, while official AFC Richmond merchandise includes items such as jerseys, shirts and jackets. These products are fan merchandise, not requirements for watching Season 4, and their availability, price and shipping options can change.
What changed from earlier Season 4 reports?
Older search results may still describe Season 4 as unconfirmed, in production or potentially arriving in 2027. Those reports reflect earlier stages of the announcement timeline:
- March 2025: Apple confirmed that Ted Lasso would return for a fourth season but did not give a release date.
- July 2025: Production had begun, while the premiere timing remained unknown.
- January 28, 2026: Apple announced a summer 2026 release window.
- July 2026: Apple confirmed the firm August 5 premiere date and promoted the season’s worldwide premiere.
- August 5, 2026: Season 4 premiered globally.
The earlier uncertainty is now resolved. As of August 12, 2026, the correct answer to “When does Ted Lasso Season 4 come out?” is that it came out on August 5, 2026, with the remaining episodes scheduled weekly through October 7.
