What is HBO’s Task about?
Task is an HBO crime drama set in and around Philadelphia. The story follows FBI agent Tom Brandis, played by Mark Ruffalo, as he leads a task force investigating violent robberies. His investigation brings him into conflict with Robbie Prendergrast, played by Tom Pelphrey.
The series’ release plan was designed for weekly viewing rather than a full-season drop, so viewers following the original broadcast had one new installment to watch each Sunday.
