T-Mobile’s widely advertised free MLS Season Pass promotion was for the 2025 season, and its redemption window ended on March 4, 2025. For the 2026 season, MLS is no longer sold as a standalone MLS Season Pass. Matches and related programming are included through an Apple TV subscription, while eligible T-Mobile customers may see an Apple TV benefit in their account.
Do not assume an old “MLS Season Pass ON US” tile means a new offer is available. Check the current benefit shown in your own T-Life or T-Mobile account before accepting anything.

Is the free T-Mobile MLS offer still available?
Not as the 2025 promotion. T-Mobile announced the deal on January 29, 2025, offering qualifying T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers a season-long MLS Season Pass. Customers could redeem it through T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T-Life app from February 18, 2025, at 5:00 a.m. ET, through March 4, 2025, at 4:59 a.m. ET. That claim period has expired. What changed in 2026?
“MLS Season Pass” was the name of Apple’s standalone MLS subscription through the 2025 season. Beginning with the 2026 season, MLS matches and exclusive programming moved into an Apple TV subscription. Apple explains the transition in its support documentation.
That means searching for a current “free MLS Season Pass” may lead you to the wrong product. The relevant T-Mobile benefit to look for now is Apple TV, not necessarily an MLS-branded promotion. Apple says eligible existing MLS Season Pass subscriptions could convert to Apple TV or expire, depending on the subscription arrangement.
How to check for a current T-Mobile Apple TV benefit
- Update and open the T-Life app.
- Sign in to the T-Mobile account connected to your qualifying wireless line.
- Open Benefits, T-Mobile Tuesdays, or the account’s entertainment section.
- Search specifically for Apple TV, rather than only “MLS Season Pass.”
- Read the displayed price, promotional duration, eligibility terms, and renewal price.
- Select the activation or redemption button and complete the Apple Account setup.
- Open the Apple TV app and confirm that the subscription is active and MLS content is available.
- Record the renewal date and future price, preferably by taking a screenshot of the offer terms.
T-Mobile says eligible postpaid customers may also add the $3-per-month Apple TV benefit after signing in through their T-Mobile account, then activate it with Apple. The exact benefit depends on the account and rate plan; Metro customers should rely on the offer displayed in their myMetro or T-Life account.

These are not universal T-Mobile benefits. Plan eligibility, pricing, and availability can change. T-Mobile’s Apple TV FAQ contains the current qualification and billing details.
Changing to a more expensive wireless plan solely to obtain Apple TV may not save money. Compare the full annual cost of the plan change with the cost of subscribing directly.
What the 2025 MLS promotion included
Historically, T-Mobile described the 2025 offer as including every live MLS regular-season match, MLS Cup playoff matches, Leagues Cup programming, and additional MLS programming and exclusive content, with no blackouts. The announcement advertised a value of $99 for the season.
Those details describe the 2025 standalone MLS Season Pass and should not be presented as the current 2026 product or price. Apple’s current MLS viewing page explains the 2026 Apple TV arrangement and notes that availability and content can vary by region.
If you claimed T-Mobile’s 2025 offer
The 2025 terms said the subscription would automatically renew for the 2026 season at the then-current annual price unless canceled at least one day before renewal. Apple’s subsequent product transition makes the result less uniform: some eligible subscriptions could convert to Apple TV, while others could expire.
Check both places before assuming the subscription is still free:
- Apple Account: Open your Apple subscriptions and purchase history to look for MLS or Apple TV billing.
- T-Mobile account: Review your bill, add-ons, and entertainment benefits.
- Billing description: Check the amount, charge date, and whether Apple or T-Mobile issued the charge.
If a provider-issued subscription has an unclear status, contact T-Mobile. Apple says customers whose subscription came through another provider may need to seek guidance from that provider.
How to avoid an unwanted renewal charge
For the current six-month Apple TV promotion, T-Mobile says the benefit renews at $12.99 per month or the then-current price unless canceled. T-Mobile customers can cancel through T-Life or their T-Mobile account by removing the Apple TV feature.

Before activating, verify which Apple Account will be used and save the renewal date. If you already subscribe to Apple TV directly, check that subscription first. T-Mobile says its promotion may pause an existing Apple-billed subscription in the described scenario, but billing arrangements can differ. An Apple free trial may need to end before the T-Mobile offer is activated.
Also check for duplicate billing: a T-Mobile benefit and a separate Apple-billed subscription should not be assumed to be the same subscription.

No Apple hardware is required. Apple lists the Apple TV app on iPhone and iPad, Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K, Mac, eligible Android devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, game consoles, and the web at tv.apple.com.
Apple lists minimum requirements including iOS or iPadOS 16.2 or later, tvOS 16.2 or later, and macOS Ventura 13.1 or later, along with compatible hardware and software. Internet access is required, and mobile or home-internet data charges may apply.

Apple TV’s Family Sharing feature can make one subscription available to up to six people total. Not every item visible in the Apple TV app is included in the subscription; some content may be rented, purchased, supplied by third parties, or restricted by region.
Troubleshooting the missing or confusing offer
No MLS Season Pass tile appears
- The 2025 redemption period has ended.
- You may be searching for a product that ended as a standalone subscription.
- Your plan or account may not qualify.
- T-Life may be out of date, or you may be signed into the wrong T-Mobile or Metro account.
Update T-Life, sign out and back in, check both Benefits and T-Mobile Tuesdays, search for Apple TV, and verify your rate plan. T-Mobile’s support information lists T-Life compatibility requirements including Android 11 or later or iOS 16 or later.
A price appears during activation
Stop and identify the charge before proceeding. It could be the $3-per-month T-Mobile benefit, a future renewal price, or Apple’s normal direct subscription flow rather than the T-Mobile promotion. A genuine free period should clearly show the promotional price and renewal terms.
An Apple payment confirmation arrives
Review Apple purchase history, Apple subscriptions, your T-Mobile bill, and account add-ons. The old promotion required an Apple payment method and included automatic-renewal language, so a payment confirmation should not be ignored.
You are a Metro customer
The historical MLS promotion included Metro customers, but current Apple TV eligibility can differ by brand and plan. Do not apply T-Mobile postpaid rules automatically; check the benefit displayed for your Metro account.
What is the better option for you?
- Already on an eligible T-Mobile plan: Use the account-specific Apple TV benefit if its price and renewal terms suit you.
- Only want MLS: Compare Apple TV’s full cost with other legitimate viewing options rather than upgrading an expensive wireless plan for streaming alone.
- Already pay Apple directly: Check your Apple billing arrangement before activating a T-Mobile offer.
- Want broader household value: Apple TV may be more useful when Family Sharing covers up to six people.
- Not a T-Mobile customer: Review Apple’s direct MLS information and subscription options.
T-Mobile benefits are subject to qualifying-plan requirements and can change. The safest source is the live offer attached to your account, not an undated headline or an old landing page.
