The 2026 T-Mobile MLB.TV giveaway was legitimate, but it can no longer be claimed. T-Mobile’s redemption window closed on March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET. The offer provided eligible T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers with MLB.TV for the 2026 regular season after they claimed it through T-Life or myMetro and completed registration with MLB.com.
The 2026 promotion was real—but redemption is closed
T-Mobile offered a free MLB.TV subscription to eligible customers from March 24, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. ET, through March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET. T-Mobile listed the regular value of the season subscription as $149.99.
The benefit was not added automatically. Customers had to save and redeem the offer in the appropriate T-Mobile app, then sign in to or create an MLB.com account. Saving an offer after the deadline does not create access, and there is no official late-redemption code.

Who qualified?
The promotion was for customers with qualifying, active T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile branded monthly rate plans that generally included voice and data service. T-Mobile specifically excluded or identified as ineligible:
- Kids’ Lines
- Government accounts
- Paygo or payday plans
- Select data-only plans
- Plans without data
- T-Mobile Connect plans
Each phone on a qualifying line could claim the benefit through the app, according to T-Mobile’s FAQ. Eligibility depended on the specific account and plan, so a plan nickname alone is not conclusive.
MLB.com account creation required the customer to be at least 13. Participation in T-Life or myMetro generally required being 18 or the legal age in the customer’s jurisdiction; some minors aged 16 or older could participate with parental consent under T-Mobile’s conditions.
What the subscription included
For customers who successfully redeemed it, T-Mobile described the benefit as a full 2026 MLB regular-season MLB.TV subscription. It included:
- Out-of-market regular-season games live or on demand
- In-market regular-season games on demand
- Home and away broadcasts in HD
- Access on supported phones, tablets, televisions and other compatible devices
- MLB app premium features, documentaries, classic games, highlights, news and archived programming
- Minor League Baseball access through the MiLB app using the same MLB.com login
“Every game” did not mean every game was available live everywhere. Local games remained subject to MLB blackout rules.

How redemption worked during the offer window
The following is the historical 2026 redemption process. It is included for customers checking how they may have claimed the benefit earlier in the season.
Android and web-linked flow
- Open T-Life for T-Mobile or myMetro for Metro by T-Mobile.
- Sign in with the qualifying phone number.
- In T-Life, open Benefits. In myMetro, open Tuesdays.
- Select the MLB.TV tile.
- Tap SAVE, then REDEEM.
- Follow the MLB.com registration link.
- Sign in to the intended MLB.com account, or create one.
- After confirmation, select WATCH NOW.
T-Mobile said the Android/web-linked flow did not require payment.

- Install or update the MLB app to version 18.0 or later.
- Open T-Life or myMetro and sign in.
- Go to Benefits in T-Life or Tuesdays in myMetro.
- Open the MLB.TV tile and tap SAVE, then REDEEM.
- Tap REDEEM NOW if prompted.
- Confirm the free Apple Pay transaction.
- Sign in to an existing MLB.com account or create one.
- Tap WATCH NOW.
An iOS device could require a payment card attached to the iTunes account for Apple Pay verification, but T-Mobile said the card would not be charged. In-app purchases also had to be enabled.
If you redeemed MLB.TV but cannot watch
- Sign in to MLB.com or the MLB app with the same account used during redemption.
- Check the subscription or account status before trying to claim the offer again.
- Update the MLB app, T-Life and myMetro.
- Sign out and back in, then restart the device.
- Confirm that the original T-Mobile or Metro line remains active and eligible.
- Try the qualifying phone rather than an unrelated device.
- Contact T-Mobile support if the account qualified and redemption was completed but access is still missing.
Do not create a second MLB.com account unless necessary. T-Mobile’s published material confirms separate returning-customer and new-account paths, but it does not provide a complete public account-merging procedure.

MLB.TV is primarily designed for out-of-market viewing. A local team’s game may be unavailable live even when the subscription was free through T-Mobile. Blackouts are based mainly on the viewer’s location and IP address, and the affected territory can extend beyond the team’s home city.

Use MLB’s official blackout lookup before subscribing or assuming a particular game will be available. A VPN is not a reliable or recommended workaround: it may violate service rules, trigger inaccurate location detection or cause access problems.
What if you missed the deadline?
There is no official way to claim the 2026 T-Mobile offer after March 31, 2026. Customers should not buy, share or resell supposed redemption codes; T-Mobile’s terms prohibit account sharing and state that the benefit is not for use on other carriers’ wireless devices.
Fans who still want MLB.TV can review the official MLB subscription page. Compare current pricing, device support and blackout coverage before paying.
Switching to T-Mobile or Metro solely for a seasonal promotion may not make financial sense. The wireless plan’s cost, coverage, eligibility terms and your likelihood of watching out-of-market games matter more than the advertised streaming value. Future promotions may use different dates, apps or eligibility rules.
