The deal was legitimate, but it is no longer claimable. T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile offered qualifying customers a free MLB.TV subscription for the 2026 regular season through T-Mobile Tuesdays. The redemption window ran from March 24, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. ET to March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET. T-Mobile’s official benefits page now says the redemption period is over.
The promotion covered a season rather than a guaranteed 12 months, and MLB.TV remained subject to local and national blackout rules.
When the T-Mobile MLB.TV promotion was available
The offer opened at 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and closed at 4:59 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. That cutoff was early Tuesday morning—not midnight at the end of Tuesday—so customers generally needed to finish redemption by late Monday night.
T-Mobile’s benefits page identifies the 2026 redemption period as closed. A missing MLB.TV tile now is therefore likely to mean the promotion expired, not that the customer has found a hidden claim path.

Who was eligible
Eligibility was limited to customers on qualifying T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile plans who had access to the relevant rewards area in the app. It was not automatically available to every T-Mobile-branded customer, prepaid customer, home-internet customer or former customer.
- T-Mobile customers were directed to T-Life.
- Qualifying Metro customers were directed to myMetro.
- The offer had to appear in the customer’s account; plan eligibility was determined inside the app.
T-Mobile describes T-Life as the place for services and offers previously associated with T-Mobile Tuesdays. Its T-Mobile Tuesdays support page explains that availability depends on the account and plan.
How redemption worked during the live window
T-Mobile customers using T-Life
- Install or open the T-Life app and sign in with the qualifying T-Mobile phone number.
- Open Benefits.
- Select the MLB.TV tile.
- Tap SAVE, then REDEEM.
- Follow the link to the T-Mobile-specific MLB.com registration page.
- Sign in to an existing MLB.com account or create one.
- Complete the confirmation flow and select WATCH NOW.
Metro by T-Mobile customers
Metro customers followed the same basic sequence in myMetro, but the offer was found under Tuesdays rather than T-Life’s Benefits area. The MLB.TV tile, then SAVE and REDEEM, started the registration process.
iPhone and iPad requirement
For the 2026 promotion, T-Mobile’s instructions specified that the MLB app needed to be installed and running version 18.0 or later for the iOS redemption flow. If the app was missing or outdated, the process prompted the user to install or update it before continuing. That version number applied to this promotion and should not be treated as a permanent requirement.
Recommended Free Tools
The promotional registration route was not supposed to request payment. If a link instead opens a standard MLB purchase funnel, return to T-Life or myMetro and use REDEEM rather than buying directly.
What the subscription included
The benefit was described as MLB.TV for the 2026 season. Its listed features included:
- Live and on-demand access to available out-of-market regular-season games.
- Live audio for all MLB teams.
- Minor League Baseball games.
- MLB Big Inning.
- Documentaries, classic programs, World Series films, news, highlights and archived games.
- Premium features in the MLB app for the 2026 season.
That package was most useful to fans who follow teams outside their local television territory or who want baseball audio, archives and Minor League content.

What MLB.TV did not guarantee
Local blackouts
MLB.TV is primarily an out-of-market service. A game involving the viewer’s local team or home television territory may be unavailable live, even when it is not being shown on a local channel.
National exclusivity and location checks
Nationally exclusive games can also be restricted. MLB uses geography and the viewer’s IP address to determine territory, so a mistaken location can produce an unexpected blackout. MLB’s blackout guidance explains the rules and directs customers with an incorrect territory determination to MLB customer service.
Delayed archives
Some archived games become available after a delay; MLB’s subscription information says certain archives are available 90 minutes after a game ends. Live audio may still be available when video is blacked out.
In practical terms, the free promotion did not mean every MLB game was available live. It was a particularly poor fit for someone whose main goal was watching a local team.
How much value did the promotion represent?
T-Mobile described the 2026 MLB.TV benefit as regularly priced at $149.99. That figure should be understood as T-Mobile’s stated valuation of the applicable seasonal package, not cash and not a guaranteed price every customer would otherwise have paid.

MLB pricing can differ by package, purchase channel, club, sale and date. The official MLB subscription page has displayed different seasonal prices and promotions, so a current sale price should not be used to rewrite the historical value of the T-Mobile offer.

A free promotional entitlement does not by itself prove that an MLB account can never generate a future charge. Paid MLB.TV subscriptions commonly renew around late February or March of the following year, while promotional terms can vary.

- Sign in at MLB.com.
- Open the account’s subscription or billing section.
- Check whether the T-Mobile benefit, a payment method or a renewal date is listed.
- Disable renewal or cancel the subscription if a future paid renewal appears and you do not want it.
Do not assume that every promotional account has identical renewal treatment; rely on the status shown in the individual MLB account.
Troubleshooting the old redemption flow
The MLB.TV tile was missing
- Update T-Life or myMetro.
- Sign out and back in with the qualifying phone number.
- Check Benefits in T-Life or Tuesdays in myMetro.
- Confirm that the account had an eligible plan during the promotion.
- Recognize that after March 31, 2026, expiration is the most likely explanation.
The link opened the wrong MLB page
The customer was probably outside the carrier-specific flow. The intended route began in T-Life or myMetro and used REDEEM; purchasing independently at MLB.com did not attach the T-Mobile benefit.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The iOS flow would not continue
Installing or updating the MLB app to version 18.0 or later, then restarting redemption from T-Life or myMetro, addressed the app prerequisite for the 2026 instructions.
Terms and practical limits
The promotion was tied to the qualifying carrier account and was not intended for account sharing. T-Mobile’s terms also restricted use on other carriers’ wireless devices. Those conditions are another reason not to treat the entitlement as a transferable standalone subscription.
What readers can do now
There is no confirmed replacement T-Mobile MLB.TV promotion to claim after the 2026 window. Customers can check T-Life for any newer benefits, but should not use an old “claim now” link as though it still works.
Fans who still need out-of-market games can review the current package options at MLB’s official subscription page. MLB+ may suit people who mainly want live audio, selected games, MLB Network, Minor League content and MLB Big Inning, while the full MLB.TV package is aimed at broader out-of-market viewing. Neither option removes local blackout restrictions.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteT-Mobile wireless plans are a separate carrier decision. The expired 2026 benefit is not a current reason to switch service; anyone considering a change should compare the complete plan cost and benefits at T-Mobile’s plan page.
