The T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile offer for a free 2026 MLB.TV season is no longer open to new claims. The redemption deadline was March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET. If you claimed it in time, sign in to MLB with the same account you used when redeeming; if you did not, you cannot newly claim this season through the promotion.
Is the T-Mobile MLB.TV offer still available?
No. T-Mobile says the 2026 redemption period is over. It ran from March 24, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. ET, through March 31, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. ET. The promotion covered the 2026 regular season and was advertised by T-Mobile as having a regular full price of $149.99. See T-Mobile’s current MLB benefit page.

Being eligible was not enough: customers had to save and redeem the offer during that window, then connect it to an MLB.com account. A customer who completed those steps should use that MLB account to access the entitlement. Anyone who missed the deadline cannot recreate the promotional benefit through MLB’s ordinary subscription page.
Who qualified for the 2026 promotion?
T-Mobile described eligibility as covering customers on qualifying T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile monthly plans, including most consumer and business monthly plans with voice and data. Lines had to be active, and customers needed access to T-Mobile Tuesdays through T-Life or myMetro. T-Mobile said every qualifying line could participate, but the offer was not automatic and not every customer or plan necessarily qualified. Its page does not give a stable, complete plan-by-plan list, so the app offer or T-Mobile support was the appropriate place to confirm eligibility.

T-Mobile customers used the T-Life app; Metro customers used myMetro. The relevant offer was in T-Life’s Benefits area or myMetro’s Tuesdays area.
How redemption worked during the 2026 window
The following is the historical redemption flow, not a way to claim the expired offer today. Customers first opened the MLB.TV tile in the relevant carrier app, saved the offer, and followed the redemption link to MLB. They then signed in to an existing MLB.com account or created one. That account is important: it is the account to use later in the MLB app or on MLB.com.
Android and web-linked flow
- Open T-Life for T-Mobile or myMetro for Metro and sign in with the eligible wireless account.
- Open the MLB.TV tile. If it was not on the first screen, go to Benefits in T-Life or Tuesdays in myMetro.
- Open the offer details and tap SAVE, then REDEEM.
- Follow the promotion link to MLB. Sign in with an existing MLB.com username and password, or create an MLB.com account.
- Complete the confirmation steps and select WATCH NOW.
iPhone and iPad flow
For the 2026 promotion, T-Mobile’s iOS instructions called for the MLB app to be installed and at version 18.0 or later. The customer also needed T-Life or myMetro connected to the eligible wireless account.

T-Mobile said an Apple payment method might be required for this flow even though the customer would not be charged, and advised enabling in-app purchases before redeeming. The version requirement and instructions above describe the 2026 promotion, not necessarily the current MLB app requirements.
How to watch after redeeming
Open the MLB app or MLB.com and sign in with the exact MLB account used during redemption. The promotion provided access to MLB.TV for the 2026 regular season; it was not a separate T-Mobile login for MLB playback.
MLB.TV can also be watched on supported connected devices, but compatibility and features vary by platform. Check MLB’s current setup instructions for the device you use: Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung, LG, or PlayStation. MLB’s broader help center has additional device guidance.

T-Mobile’s terms restricted use of the promotional benefit on other carriers’ wireless devices and prohibited account sharing. That restriction should not be confused with the wider list of devices on which MLB.TV may be supported; authenticate with the eligible account and follow the offer terms.
What the MLB.TV season included—and what it did not
The benefit was principally for live and on-demand out-of-market regular-season games. T-Mobile also described home and away feeds in HD, live audio for all MLB teams, archived games and other MLB programming such as documentaries, classic programming, World Series films, news and highlights. It included MiLB access through the relevant MLB minor-league app using the MLB.com login.
MLB.TV is not a reliable substitute for a local sports network. Live games can be blocked in a viewer’s designated home or local television territory, and selected nationally exclusive games may also be unavailable. Check the MLB.TV blackout and availability information before subscribing or expecting to watch a particular team. MLB’s terms of use say unavailable games generally become available on demand about 90 minutes after the game ends; live audio may remain available, subject to the applicable rules.

Fix common access problems
The MLB.TV tile is missing
First check whether you are trying to claim a new 2026 offer: the promotion has expired. If you redeemed before the deadline, confirm that T-Life or myMetro is signed in with the eligible phone number, update and restart the carrier app, and verify that you are checking the correct account or line. For a never-redeemed offer, a missing tile now does not mean there is another claim route; T-Mobile’s page says the window is over. Contact T-Mobile for questions about your account or offer eligibility, but do not assume support can reopen the deadline.
MLB is asking you to pay
Before buying, sign out of MLB.com or the MLB app and sign back in with the MLB account used during redemption. A payment prompt can appear if you are using another MLB account, entered through MLB’s standard purchase page instead of the promotional link, did not finish the redemption, or selected a separate add-on or subscription. On iOS, distinguish the free Apple Pay confirmation flow described for the promotion from an actual purchase. Check the account’s subscription or entitlement status; contact MLB support for MLB account or linking problems rather than paying twice first.
A game is blacked out
This can be a viewing restriction, not a failed redemption. Check MLB’s blackout information and location-based availability for the game. Blackouts can apply based on physical location and home television territory, including when a game is not actually televised locally. Nationally exclusive games may also be restricted.

The stream will not play on a television
- Confirm that MLB supports the TV or streaming device and that its MLB app is up to date.
- Check that the device is signed in to the MLB account tied to the promotion.
- Check whether the game is subject to a blackout or national restriction.
- Use the device-specific setup page linked above, or MLB’s help center, for platform troubleshooting.
If you missed the deadline
The T-Mobile offer cannot be newly redeemed for the 2026 season. If you still want MLB.TV, check MLB’s official packages and purchase page for the current price, features and renewal terms. A price shown there is subject to change; MLB stated that seasonal subscriptions renew annually around March 1 at the then-current regular full-season price unless canceled. Buying directly from MLB does not restore the expired T-Mobile promotion. Check local blackout coverage first, especially if live games from your home team are the main reason you want a subscription.
A future T-Mobile promotion should not be assumed to have the same eligibility, dates or terms. Do not switch carriers solely in anticipation of one; weigh the mobile service itself and confirm any future offer directly with T-Mobile.
