Sun NXT pricing depends on your country and how you subscribe. In India, a recent report lists Premium at ₹899 per year, reduced from a stated ₹1,499, but treat that as a price signal—not a guaranteed offer—until you see it in Sun NXT’s checkout. U.S. App Store prices are different, and Vi or Tata Play Binge bundles are separate products with their own terms. If you mainly watch Sun NXT and want a TV or household plan, compare the India annual offer at checkout; if you already pay for a bundle, check whether it includes Sun NXT before buying twice.
Sun NXT plans at a glance
Sun NXT is an OTT service from Sun TV Network, with live television and on-demand movies, serials, shows and other regional programming. What does Sun NXT include?
Sun NXT focuses on regional programming associated with Sun TV Network. Language descriptions vary by market and partner: Singtel lists Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi, while other descriptions may include Hindi. Do not assume every language, programme or live channel is available in every country; rights and catalogues can differ by territory.

The service combines live TV with on-demand viewing, including films, serials and shows. The India Premium feature list reported by Filmibeat includes ad-free viewing, downloads, casting and up to four devices. Those are reported features, not independently confirmed specifications for every checkout route. “Four devices” may refer to registered devices rather than four simultaneous streams. Check the plan screen for concurrent-stream limits, supported devices and video quality.
Ad-free does not necessarily mean that every kind of playback is free of advertising: live television, sponsored programming, promotions or particular content may behave differently. Likewise, downloads may be subject to title, device, expiry and account-status restrictions. Singtel confirms downloads and mobile/TV streaming for its own partner service, but its terms do not establish identical limits for a direct India plan.
Is there a cheaper mobile-only plan?
Secondary coverage describes a Basic option that may be limited to one mobile device and include ads, with Premium aimed at TV and multi-device viewing. The current direct India checkout was not confirmed in the available pricing evidence, so do not rely on that description—or assume a Basic plan’s price, validity or device rules—without checking the options shown in your own Sun NXT account.
If you mainly watch on a phone, a lower-cost mobile option can make sense if it is actually offered to you and its ads and screen restrictions are acceptable. If you need a television, browser or casting, verify that access explicitly before paying. The cheapest headline price is poor value if it cannot play on the screen you use.
Monthly or annual: which is better value?
If the reported India annual Premium price of ₹899 is available to you, it works out to about ₹74.92 per month (₹899 ÷ 12). At the reported ₹1,499 reference price, the equivalent is about ₹124.92 per month. These are arithmetic comparisons, not promises that either price will be offered or renewed.

- Choose monthly if you want a short commitment, are watching one series, or only need access for a brief period.
- Consider annual if you watch Sun NXT regularly, the checkout confirms the discount, and the renewal and refund terms suit you.
Promotions may change or be account- or payment-specific. Check the total charged, renewal amount and billing provider before confirming. An annual plan may lower the monthly equivalent but leaves you with a longer commitment if you stop watching.
Direct subscription or a bundle?
Direct Sun NXT
A direct plan is the clearest fit if Sun NXT is the service you primarily want. It avoids paying for a bundle of apps you will not use and may provide access through the Sun NXT app or website. The actual features, price and available screens still depend on the offer shown in your country.
Tata Play Binge
Tata Play lists Sun NXT as applicable on Flexi Smart and Flexi Max, alongside other selected apps. Its page lists ₹199 per month for three selected apps and ₹299 for six, with four devices. It also identifies supported routes such as FTV, Binge+ and Smart TV. Confirm that Sun NXT is among your selected apps, that your device is supported, and whether viewing takes place in Binge or the Sun NXT app. A bundle is useful if you will use the other apps; it is not automatically cheaper for a Sun NXT-only viewer.
Vi Movies & TV
Vi announced Sun NXT in its Movies & TV Lite and Plus packs at ₹154 and ₹248 per month, respectively, in 2024. Those are historical launch-price signals. Check Vi’s current app or account for live eligibility and price. This route is most relevant to existing Vi customers who want the other included services too; it is less suitable if you need a standalone Sun NXT subscription independent of a telecom bundle.

Singtel (Singapore)
Singtel CAST and eligible Singtel Prepaid offers are Singapore-specific. CAST lists $7.98 per month and may show a free-period offer depending on payment route and eligibility. Certain prepaid top-ups can include 30 days of Sun NXT. These offers are not Indian plan prices and should only be compared by eligible Singtel customers.
With any partner bundle, check which account activates access, which app plays the content, device support, renewal and what happens if the mobile, DTH or partner subscription ends. The bundle’s app catalogue, rights or account recovery process may not match a direct Sun NXT subscription.

- Open the Sun NXT website or the official app from the relevant app store.
- Sign in or create an account, then open a locked title or live channel, or look for the subscription options.
- Review the plans actually shown for your country and billing route. Compare the full charge and renewal price, not just a promotional headline.
- Check supported screens, registered-device and simultaneous-stream limits, advertising, downloads, casting and cancellation terms.
- Pay through the route you intend to manage. Save the receipt and note the account email or phone number used.
If you subscribe through Apple or Google, the app-store account may control payment and renewal. If you subscribe through Vi, Tata Play or Singtel, that partner may control activation and billing. Do not assume that buying through one route grants the same features as another. Partner activation may require a linked mobile number or a separate activation step.
Renewal, cancellation and billing
Cancel through the company that bills you, not merely by deleting the app. Apple-billed subscriptions should be managed in the Apple account; partner subscriptions should be managed through the relevant partner. Sun NXT’s terms of use say Apple-purchased subscriptions have separate billing identification and note that renewal can occur unless cancellation is made more than 24 hours before renewal. Check the current terms and the renewal date in your billing account. Cancelling a subscription is different from deleting a Sun NXT account.

Common problems
I paid, but the title is still locked
Check that you are signed into the same Sun NXT account used at purchase, and verify payment status with Apple, Google or the partner. An activation step may be pending, you may be using a different phone number or email, or the title may not be included in your route or territory. Sign out and back in, then force-close and reopen the app. Do not buy a second plan until the first charge is resolved. Contact the billing provider or Sun NXT support with the transaction ID; the Google Play listing directs users to provide their login ID and mobile number for support.
My TV or another device cannot play
First confirm the plan includes that device category and that the specific TV model or partner platform is supported. Then check whether you have reached a registered-device or simultaneous-stream limit; those are different restrictions. A “four devices” claim alone does not establish four concurrent viewers.

Do not count on it. Sun NXT’s terms say the service is geo-restricted and that a plan bought in one country may not be valid in another. Use the local service or storefront and check availability in the country where you will watch.
Can I download episodes?
Downloads are reported for India Premium and are offered through some partner implementations, but availability and expiry can depend on title, device and account status. Confirm the download icon and rules for the specific programme rather than assuming the full catalogue is downloadable.

Which option should you choose?
- One phone, occasional viewing: Look for a mobile plan or short-term option in your checkout, if available; accept ads or restrictions only if they suit you.
- Family watching on TV and phones: Prioritise verified TV support and concurrent-stream rules. Compare direct Premium with a bundle you already have.
- Regular Sun TV Network viewer in India: The reported ₹899 annual offer could be attractive if still available and the features fit; confirm price and renewal at checkout.
- Already a Tata Play Binge or Vi customer: Check current app selection, device eligibility and incremental cost before purchasing direct access.
- Outside India: Compare the local storefront or partner offer. Do not use Indian rupee pricing as a proxy or assume an Indian plan travels.
Sun NXT is most compelling when its regional catalogue and live programming are what you want. If you are mainly seeking a broad Hindi, English or international catalogue, a Sun NXT subscription may not match that need; assess the catalogue available in your region before committing.
