Class of ’83: Netflix on August 21, 2020
Netflix announced Class of ’83 as an exclusive release for August 21, 2020. Netflix’s announcement describes the film as a police drama set in early-1980s Bombay.
Story and principal credits
Bobby Deol plays Dean Vijay Singh, a police officer who becomes an instructor and trains five young cadets to confront corruption and the criminal underworld. Atul Sabharwal directed the film, with Red Chillies Entertainment as producer. The screenplay was adapted from S. Hussain Zaidi’s nonfiction book Class of ’83: The Punishers of Mumbai Police; it should not be presented simply as a literal “true story.” Netflix’s production announcement provides the film’s premise, credits and source-book details: “Class Is in Order: Bobby Deol Headlines Netflix Original Class of ’83.”

Sadak 2: Disney+ Hotstar on August 28, 2020
Sadak 2 was scheduled to begin streaming in India on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28, 2020. The Indian Express reported the confirmed date. Some period promotional material referred to the service as Disney+ Hotstar VIP; that was the branding used at the time, not a current subscription recommendation.
Sequel, cast and premise
The film is a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film Sadak and marked Bhatt’s return to directing after a long absence. Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt returned to the franchise, alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The story follows Dutt’s character, Ravi, as he becomes involved with a young woman while facing a spiritual figure presented as the antagonist. Platform announcement versus date confirmation
