Crave: the week’s strongest documentary and Canadian-content offering
Crave had the most varied schedule in this four-service comparison, combining Canadian productions, feature films, documentaries and continuing premium series.
November 4: films and Spector
The most distinctive arrival was Crimes of the Future, a Canadian movie premiere directed by Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg. The science-fiction body-horror film is the clearest choice for viewers looking for a major Canadian film rather than a conventional mainstream release.
The same day brought CODA, Scanners, Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright, Tom and Jerry’s Giant Adventure and The Best Man Holiday. That makes Crave useful for mixed households: adults can choose Cronenberg or a catalogue drama, while younger viewers have animated options.
Showtime’s four-part documentary series Spector also arrived on November 4. It examines the story of music producer Phil Spector, making it one of the week’s most obvious documentary-led choices for Crave subscribers.

November 6–9: documentaries, drama and returning series
On November 6, Crave added new episodes of The White Lotus, The Circus and The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast, alongside the series premiere of Starz’s Dangerous Liaisons.
Kings of Coke, a Crave Original documentary, arrived on November 7. Its Montreal crime-history subject gives it a particularly strong Canadian angle and makes it the week’s best choice for viewers who prefer true crime and local history over international entertainment documentaries.

Netflix was the week’s broadest service for new, high-profile programming. Its Canadian lineup covered comedy, animation, a franchise sequel, reality television, true crime and prestige drama.
November 3: Blockbuster and The Dragon Prince
Blockbuster premiered on November 3. The workplace comedy follows employees at the last remaining Blockbuster video store. It has a useful Canadian connection: the series was filmed in Vancouver and features Vancouver actor Madeleine Arthur.
The same day brought season 4 of The Dragon Prince, a nine-episode animated fantasy season. Vancouver-based Bardel Entertainment handled the animation, and Vancouver-born voice actor Sasha Rojen is part of the cast. It is the week’s most substantial family-animation release, especially for viewers who want a continuing fantasy story rather than short-form episodes.
November 4: Enola Holmes 2 and more
Enola Holmes 2 was the clearest Netflix movie-night recommendation. Millie Bobby Brown returned as the young detective, with Henry Cavill also returning. It is the most accessible pick in the week’s major-release group: recognizable performers, a mystery-adventure premise and a direct connection to the first film.

Netflix’s early-November batch also included Buying Beverly Hills, Lookism and season 4 of Manifest. The documentary series Killer Sally, which arrived on November 2, remained a timely true-crime option during this week even though it technically predates the November 3–9 window.
November 9: The Crown and FIFA Uncovered
The week ended with two major arrivals. The Crown season 5 was Netflix’s strongest prestige-drama release, while FIFA Uncovered supplied a documentary option for sports and institutional-history viewers.
Netflix’s Canadian release listings generally used a 3 a.m. Eastern Time / midnight Pacific Time release pattern unless a separate time was announced. That timing applied to the platform’s standard release listings at the time; it should not be treated as a guarantee for every title or for current releases.
Disney+: franchise extras, weekly viewing and short-form animation
Disney+ did not have a major new feature-film premiere during November 3–9, 2022. Its strongest offerings were companion material for Marvel fans, continuing weekly programming and a family-friendly animated spin-off.

Andor was also releasing weekly during this period, alongside other Disney and Star programming listed in the Canadian schedule. In practical terms, Disney+ was the best service that week for family viewing, Marvel extras and an ongoing Star Wars series—not for a new feature-length blockbuster.
Prime Video: a smaller slate led by My Policeman
Prime Video’s November 3–9 schedule was less crowded than Netflix’s or Crave’s, but it had a clear movie lead.

Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 4, identified in the Canadian calendar as an Amazon Original, arrived on November 9 for viewers looking for a fashion and performance special.
Several prominent titles from Prime Video’s larger November calendar fell outside this window. The English, Good Night Oppy, Where the Crawdads Sing and The People We Hate at the Wedding were later-month releases and should not be counted as November 3–9 arrivals.

- Choose Netflix for the largest number of recognizable new releases: Blockbuster, The Dragon Prince season 4, Enola Holmes 2 and The Crown season 5.
- Choose Crave for Canadian content, documentaries, HBO/Showtime/Starz programming and returning premium series. Its strongest documentary picks were Kings of Coke, Spector, Broken and The BMF Documentary.
- Choose Disney+ for children and Marvel fans. Zootopia+ was the best new family title, while Marvel Studios Assembled and Marvel Studios Legends were companion viewing.
- Choose Prime Video for My Policeman, a fashion-performance special, or a very large comedy catalogue binge through Two and a Half Men.
What you need to watch these services on a television
These services require separate subscriptions or access through the relevant provider; the titles are not included simply because a television has a streaming device. If your television does not support one or more of the required apps, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is one possible way to add a compatible streaming interface. Amazon describes Fire TV as supporting apps including Prime Video, Netflix and Disney+, while Disney documents Fire TV support subject to compatible Fire OS versions and regional availability.
