Stranger Things Season 5 has finished its release. Netflix’s U.S. schedule split the final season across three dates in late 2025, while actor Joe Keery teased Steve and Dustin’s role in the final conflict and the ensemble’s teamwork. Keery did not confirm the release schedule; Netflix published it separately.
When did Stranger Things Season 5 come out?
Netflix released the final season in three volumes. The dates below are for the United States; Netflix scheduled each drop for 5 p.m. Pacific. Other regions had different local calendar dates.
| Release | United States | Many regions outside the Americas |
|---|---|---|
| Volume 1: four episodes | November 26, 2025 | November 27, 2025 |
| Volume 2: three episodes | December 25, 2025 | December 26, 2025 |
| Finale | December 31, 2025 | January 1, 2026 |
These dates and the release time come from Netflix’s official Season 5 schedule; the dates outside the Americas reflect the local calendar in many regions, not a universal schedule.
What did the Stranger Things actor tease about Season 5?
Netflix Tudum’s cast guide attributed the supported plot comments to Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington. Keery said Steve’s “relationship with Dustin is at the forefront in this last conflict — they team up and have some fun, messy action scenes together.” He also described the season’s broader emphasis: “But in true Stranger Things fashion, it’s really about the group. This season more than any other is about everyone operating as a unit, and I really liked that.”

Those remarks point to character dynamics and an ensemble approach, not a full synopsis or a specific spoiler. Netflix’s season overview says the story takes place in fall 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, Vecna has disappeared, and the heroes set out to find and kill him. The government places Hawkins under military quarantine while searching for Eleven; as the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, the story builds toward a final battle.
