Netflix scheduled each release for 5 p.m. Pacific. In many countries, the corresponding local date was one day later.
Stranger Things 5 release schedule
The fifth season is the series’ final season. Netflix released its eight episodes in three groups, with the finale arriving separately from Volume 2.
| Installment | U.S. release date | Local date in many other regions | Episodes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume 1 | November 26, 2025 | November 27, 2025 | 4 |
| Volume 2 | December 25, 2025 | December 26, 2025 | 3 |
| The Finale | December 31, 2025 | January 1, 2026 | 1 |
Netflix’s release schedule lists 5 p.m. Pacific for all three installments and groups countries by local release date. The U.S., Canada, Mexico, and several Latin American locations were among those listed for the U.S. dates; the UK and many European locations were among those listed for the following dates. India, Australia, and other Asia-Pacific locations had later local dates. Check Netflix’s country list for a specific location rather than assuming its date matches a nearby country.
Why the finale was January 1 in some countries
Netflix gave every installment the same release time, 5 p.m. Pacific. That time fell on the next calendar day in many regions farther east: for example, the U.S. finale date was December 31, 2025, while the local date in many other regions was January 1, 2026. The date difference reflects time zones, not a separate global release schedule.
