Spoiler warning: This guide covers every Season 7 episode and explains the series-finale outcomes for Andy, Maya, Carina, Ben, Vic, Theo, Travis, Jack, Sullivan, and Ross.

The 2024 ABC midseason schedule placed 9-1-1 at 8 p.m., Grey’s Anatomy at 9 p.m., and Station 19 at 10 p.m. That schedule is historical; it should not be treated as the show’s current broadcast availability.
Why Season 7 was the final season
ABC announced on December 8, 2023, that the upcoming seventh season would bring Station 19 to an end. The stated aim was to give the producers enough notice to create a proper conclusion and celebrate the series’ 100th episode rather than end the drama without a planned farewell.

The announcement came before the season began, which allowed the writers to build a deliberate closing structure. Season 7 followed the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes and was shortened to 10 episodes. The result is a compressed final chapter that resolves the principal characters’ futures through a large-scale emergency, a three-month time jump, and a later flash-forward.
Season 7 is therefore not an unfinished setup for another season. The Seattle firefighters’ story has concluded, even though the finale makes clear that their work and relationships continue beyond the episodes shown.
Where Season 6 left the firefighters
The final season begins in the aftermath of the Firefighters’ Ball disaster. Andy Herrera has been selected as the permanent captain of Station 19, but stepping into the position means taking responsibility for a team shaped by several previous leaders. Her immediate challenge is both practical and emotional: she must command emergency responses while proving that she can lead the station on a permanent basis.
Jack Gibson is critically injured after saving Travis Montgomery during the collapse. His medical condition remains uncertain as Season 7 opens, and his recovery becomes one of the season’s continuing emotional threads. Theo Ruiz and Victoria Hughes are dealing with the breakdown of their relationship, while Robert Sullivan and Natasha Ross face the professional consequences of their relationship.

At the same time, Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca are trying to repair their marriage and return to family planning. Those unresolved situations give the premiere several connected starting points: a new captain, an injured firefighter, a damaged relationship between Theo and Vic, pressure on Sullivan and Ross, and a possible future family for Maya and Carina.
Returning cast and characters
ABC’s Season 7 material identifies these principal cast members:
- Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera
- Jason George as Ben Warren
- Boris Kodjoe as Robert Sullivan
- Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes
- Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery
- Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop
- Stefania Spampinato as Carina DeLuca
- Carlos Miranda as Theo Ruiz
- Josh Randall as Sean Beckett
- Merle Dandridge as Natasha Ross
Grey Damon also remains important to the opening situation as Jack Gibson. His medical condition continues directly from the Season 6 cliffhanger, although he is not listed among the principal Season 7 cast in the official lead sheet.
The major Season 7 storylines
Andy takes command
Andy begins the season as the station’s permanent captain after competing with Theo and Sullivan for the position. Her promotion is more than a job change: it tests whether she can preserve the station’s sense of family while making difficult decisions that affect the entire crew. Calls, internal politics, and the expectations attached to succeeding earlier leaders all become part of her test.
By the finale’s future-set material, Andy has moved beyond Station 19’s captaincy and become chief of the Seattle Fire Department. The ending turns her Season 7 leadership struggle into the first step toward the department’s top position.

Maya and Carina try to build a family
Maya and Carina spend the season repairing their marriage and discussing children. Their story moves between relationship recovery, medical and family decisions, and the challenge of imagining a stable future after repeated personal and professional crises.
The finale confirms that Carina is pregnant. The later material gives the couple an especially optimistic ending: Maya is shown as captain of Station 19, and the pair imagine a larger family that includes additional children.
Vic, Crisis One, and the cost of emotional labor
Victoria Hughes remains closely associated with Crisis One, the station-connected mental-health and crisis-response program. Season 7 questions both the program’s future and Vic’s place within it. The work requires the firefighters to respond to people in crisis rather than simply to fires or physical emergencies, and the season treats that responsibility as emotionally exhausting.

Her final day comes three months after the wildfire, when her friends organize a farewell breakfast. The episode presents her departure as the beginning of another chapter rather than as a professional failure.
Theo Ruiz and Sean Beckett seek accountability
Theo continues to deal with the emotional consequences of earlier leadership failures and the damage done to his relationship with Vic. His storyline is tied to accountability: survival is not the same as escaping the consequences of past choices.
Sean Beckett’s recovery remains part of the season’s treatment of addiction, responsibility, and second chances. His presence gives the station another perspective on whether a firefighter can acknowledge failure and still work toward a sustainable future.
Ben Warren reconnects with medicine
Ben continues to balance his firefighting career with the medical training and experience he brought to Station 19. His relationship with Miranda Bailey remains an important part of that dual identity.

By the finale, Ben decides to return to surgical residency. The decision reconnects him with the medical profession he left before joining the firehouse and provides a clear endpoint for his long-running tension between medicine and firefighting.
The final wildfire
The last two episodes place Seattle under threat from a major wildfire. The emergency expands beyond one station and becomes a citywide response involving Maya, Andy, Theo, Travis, Ben, Carina, and the wider network of firefighters, medical workers, and crisis responders.

The finale intentionally heightens the disaster with a fire tornado, or “firenado.” The spectacle is the final large-scale rescue challenge, but the episode’s real purpose is to force the characters to confront how permanently their lives may change after the crisis.

The wildfire continues. Maya becomes trapped behind a wall of fire, Theo is seriously injured, and Carina reveals that she is pregnant. The firefighters confront the possibility that their futures will change permanently before the episode jumps forward three months and then several years.
How the Station 19 series finale ends
The finale, “One Last Time,” does not kill off the central team or leave the station’s future entirely bleak. Instead, it uses the wildfire to put the characters in immediate danger and then uses time jumps to show the choices that follow.
Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca
Maya survives after a water drop extinguishes the fire trapping her. Carina tells Ben that she is pregnant, and she and Maya later celebrate the pregnancy together. The future sequence shows Maya as captain of Station 19 and presents the couple imagining a larger family, including additional children.
Andy Herrera
Andy remains a leader after the wildfire and eventually becomes chief of the Seattle Fire Department. In the flash-forward, she returns to Station 19 as the incoming chief and gives the station a speech centered on community, selflessness, and caring for other people.

Ben tells Andy that he is leaving Station 19 to return to surgical residency. His choice brings together the two professional identities that have defined him: the firefighter he became and the surgeon he trained to be. It also brings his future back into closer alignment with Miranda Bailey.
Victoria Hughes
Three months after the wildfire, Vic has her final day at Station 19. Her friends give her a farewell breakfast, and the story frames her departure as a new beginning. Leaving the station does not erase Crisis One or the impact she had on the program and the community.
Travis Montgomery
Travis remains part of the Station 19 family. The finale places particular emphasis on his friendship with Vic and his continuing place in the station community rather than giving him a single dramatic career reversal.
Theo Ruiz
Theo survives the injuries connected to the wildfire. His future is presented hopefully: he is shown returning to the Seattle Fire Department, finding love, and starting a family.

Jack Gibson
Jack’s recovery remains part of the emotional aftermath of the Season 6 disaster and the final season. The finale does not reduce the station’s legacy to the original group of firefighters; its future-facing structure suggests that the work and community continue beyond the characters who receive the most screen time.
Robert Sullivan and Natasha Ross
Sullivan and Ross remain among the characters whose lives continue after the immediate crisis. Their relationship and professional choices fit the season’s wider emphasis on personal integrity, accountability, and finding a future that can be sustained rather than merely survived. The finale does not give them the kind of single, definitive career reversal that Ben or Andy receives.
Where to watch Season 7 in the United States
ABC’s official viewing information directs audiences to full episodes and Hulu. For U.S. viewers, the most direct starting point is to watch Station 19 on Hulu. Hulu’s U.S. catalog has listed all seven seasons and 105 episodes, although catalog availability and subscription requirements can change.
Viewers who prefer to purchase rather than subscribe can look for the option to buy Station 19 Season 7 digitally. Amazon Prime Video has identified Season 7 as a 10-episode digital season in at least some storefronts. Other U.S. availability listings have also shown digital purchase options through Amazon Video, Fandango at Home, and the Apple TV Store.
These are digital viewing options, not evidence of a physical release. The available research does not verify a Season 7 DVD or Blu-ray release, so an Amazon result should not automatically be interpreted as a disc set. Prices, rights, episode availability, and storefronts vary by country and can change without notice; check the live listing for the reader’s location before buying.
What the abbreviated final season accomplishes
Ten episodes leave less room than the show’s earlier seasons for extended subplots, but the structure is purposeful. The season starts with Andy’s promotion and Jack’s uncertain recovery, moves through Crisis One and the station’s personal conflicts, and ends with a wildfire that affects the entire response network.
The final three episodes then perform the work of a traditional series epilogue. “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” creates the external crisis, “One Last Time” resolves the danger, and the time jumps answer the practical question of what happens after the station survives. Andy reaches the department’s top leadership, Ben returns to surgery, Vic leaves for a new chapter, Theo recovers, and Maya and Carina receive the family future they have been working toward.
The hopeful ending is not a teaser for Season 8. It is the show’s final statement that Station 19’s community can outlast any individual lineup and that the firefighters’ influence continues even as their jobs, relationships, and responsibilities change.
The Bottom Line
Station 19 Season 7 is complete and is the series’ final season. The 10-episode run aired from March 14 through May 30, 2024, ending with the Seattle wildfire, Maya’s survival, Carina’s pregnancy, Andy’s eventual path to fire chief, Ben’s return to surgical residency, and Vic’s departure from the station. In the U.S., Hulu is the primary streaming option listed for the complete series, while digital purchase availability varies by storefront and region.
