Ubisoft announced that Star Wars Outlaws would launch on August 30, 2024, alongside a story trailer introducing characters and syndicates from its Star Wars underworld setting. The date is a past release announcement, not an upcoming launch.
What the announcement revealed
The announcement paired the August 30, 2024 release date with a story trailer. The game follows emerging scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix; official trailer coverage also names the droid ND-5. The story is set in the Star Wars underworld.

June 10, 2024: gameplay showcase and overview
Ubisoft News described a gameplay showcase at Ubisoft Forward that followed Kay on a mission to Tatooine to find a gunslinger and ask for help improving her blaster skills. The same coverage presented a game overview trailer about characters, jobs, and locations. These are Ubisoft’s descriptions of its promotional material, not independent gameplay findings. In June 2024, Ubisoft said Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition buyers, as well as Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers, could play up to three days early, beginning August 27, 2024. Those were historical offer terms for the original launch window, not a current early-access offer. Ubisoft’s June 2024 article gives the original details.
