Sssh.com’s first reported virtual-reality film was a story-led, 360-degree experience designed to let viewers choose where to look rather than lock them into one camera angle. VentureBeat reported its release in 2016 under the title Empowering Eva; Sssh.com’s press page calls it Empowering Ava: A Virtual Reality Experience. The sources do not establish whether the film is still available or works on current devices.
What was Sssh.com’s VR film?
In a September 15, 2016 report, VentureBeat described Empowering Eva as Sssh.com’s first VR film. The report names Sssh.com owner Angie Rowntree as director, Ava Mir-Ausziehen and Lance Hart as performers, and Pervout.com as a production partner. Sssh.com’s press page lists the title as Empowering Ava: A Virtual Reality Experience and includes it among its AVN 2017 and XBIZ 2017 recognition listings. The differing spellings—VentureBeat’s “Eva” and Sssh.com’s “Ava”—are not reconciled by those sources.
How did the 360-degree viewing work?
The film was presented as a narrative experience in which viewers could look around the surrounding environment and choose angles and perspectives during dialogue and sex scenes. Rowntree told VentureBeat that viewers could “explore the environment and decide for themselves which angles and perspectives from which to watch the movie unfold.” This describes control over the viewpoint, not evidence that viewers could change the plot or interact with performers.
Rowntree also characterized much adult VR at the time as using a first-person viewpoint aimed at men, and said Sssh’s primary audience was women. That is her 2016 perspective, not an independently established description of the entire industry. Sssh describes its broader work as told from a woman’s point of view and informed by member feedback; that is the publisher’s own characterization.

Was a VR headset required?
No headset was required according to VentureBeat’s release report. It said the experience could be viewed in a browser, on a phone, or on a tablet, with the ability to explore the environment and zoom in or out. The report does not name compatible devices, browser versions, resolution, or file format, so it cannot establish a reliable way to watch the film on present-day hardware.
What is known about access today?
The available reporting documents the 2016 release, not current catalog status. Sssh.com’s press page ties the title to its catalog, but its age means it does not confirm that the film remains available. The company’s membership terms describe paid access and an adult-only service, but those terms may have changed and should not be treated as confirmation of today’s offer or access requirements.

Sssh.com’s current ethical-production explainer says the company discusses consent in advance, supports performer choice and agency, invites collaborative input, and recognizes that consent can be withdrawn. These are Sssh’s stated principles, not claims independently audited by the sources cited here.
