If you want to hear what you played most in 2019, the quickest route is usually Spotify → Search → “Your Top Songs 2019”. Open a Spotify-created playlist, save it to Your Library, and play it—but remember that a public playlist with that title is not automatically your personal Wrapped list.
If you want to hear what you played most in 2019, the quickest route is usually Spotify → Search → “Your Top Songs 2019”. Open a Spotify-created playlist, save it to Your Library, and play it. However, finding a playlist with that title does not guarantee that it is your personal 2019 list: Spotify has multiple public playlists and playlist versions, and their contents can vary by account, market, or instance.
The original Spotify Wrapped 2019 experience was more than a playlist. It was a personalized, time-limited story covering your listening in 2019, plus a look back at the decade from 2010 through 2019. The playlist may still be accessible even when the original interactive Wrapped cards are not.
How to play your top songs from 2019
- Open Spotify on your phone, tablet, computer, or in the Spotify web player.
- Sign in to the account you used in 2019. If you have more than one Spotify account, check each one before assuming the playlist is missing.
- Select Search and enter Your Top Songs 2019.
- Look for a Spotify-created playlist with that exact or closely matching title.
- Open the result and check its contents. Do not assume that every public playlist with this title is your personal Wrapped playlist.
- Select Add or Save to put the playlist in Your Library.
- Press Play.
Spotify’s search guidance supports searching for playlists. Public Spotify playlists titled Your Top Songs 2019 remain visible in search and the web index. One indexed example contains 100 songs and is described as the songs listeners loved most that year, but that does not establish that it belongs to any particular listener.

How to find it through Made For You
If Spotify still exposes the playlist on your account, try the personalized browsing area as well:
- Open Spotify.
- Go to Search.
- Choose Made For You or open the personalized playlist area shown in your version of the app.
- Look for an entry such as Your Top Songs 2019.
Spotify said in a 2020 engineering follow-up that Wrapped playlists could be accessed year-round through Made For You. That supports trying this route, but it is not a guarantee that every account still shows the playlist or the original Wrapped presentation.
Save the playlist before it changes
Once you find a likely match, save it immediately. Spotify explains that saving a playlist is the supported way to retain access to it. For extra protection, create a new personal playlist and add the tracks to it one by one or through the playlist menu.
This matters because playlists can change over time. A historical playlist may receive substitutions, lose unavailable tracks, or be updated by Spotify. Spotify’s playlist-saving and recovery guidance warns that a particular historical version cannot necessarily be recovered automatically.
Can you still open the original Spotify Wrapped 2019 story?
Usually, you should not expect the original interactive story to return. The 2019 Wrapped experience included animated cards and personalized statistics, but it was a campaign tied to that period. Spotify’s current Wrapped page is dynamic rather than a permanent archive of every previous year. In the current result tested for this research, the address redirected to a current global Top Tracks playlist instead of opening the 2019 story.

That means the situation is different for the playlist and the presentation:

What Spotify Wrapped 2019 originally showed
Spotify launched Wrapped 2019 on December 5, 2019. The experience covered songs, albums, artists, genres, podcasts, and listening time. Depending on the account, it could show:
- your top artist;
- your top songs, including seasonal listening highlights;
- your top podcasts;
- your most-listened-to genres;
- the total number of minutes you streamed during 2019;
- top artists and songs for individual years of the 2010–2019 decade, where the account qualified; and
- a personalized playlist containing your leading tracks.
Spotify said users could enter the experience in the app or at spotify.com/wrapped. Free and Premium users could share Wrapped results, although Spotify said Premium users received additional insights. Premium was not required simply to find or play a saved 2019 playlist.
Do not confuse your Wrapped results with Spotify’s global lists
Spotify also published separate global rankings for 2019 and for the decade. Those lists describe listening across Spotify’s global audience, not the history of an individual account.
For the 2010–2019 decade, Spotify identified Drake as the most-streamed artist globally and “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran as the decade’s most-streamed track. In Spotify’s global 2019 results, Post Malone was among the leading artists, while “Señorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello topped the most-streamed songs list. Those facts cannot tell you what you personally played. Your own playlist might have a completely different artist, song, or genre at the top.
What to do if “Your Top Songs 2019” is missing
1. Check the account and Library
Search while signed in to every Spotify account you may have used in 2019. Also inspect Your Library, including saved playlists and older playlist collections. A playlist can appear to be missing simply because it was saved under another login.

Search the Made For You area rather than relying only on the general search results. The account-specific route is more useful than a random public playlist when it is available.
3. Use Spotify’s recovery tool only for recent deletions
Spotify’s documented recovery flow is:
- Open Spotify’s Recover playlists page.
- Choose Restore beside the deleted playlist.
- Reopen Spotify and check the bottom of your playlist collection.
The recovery window is 90 days. It is therefore very unlikely to restore a playlist deliberately deleted years ago, including a 2019 playlist. Spotify also advises checking whether the playlist belongs to another account if it does not appear.
4. Check for unavailable tracks
A playlist can exist even when one or more songs no longer play. Spotify says music availability can change because of licensing and country-specific catalog differences. If a song is greyed out or absent, that does not necessarily mean the entire playlist has disappeared. See Spotify’s guidance on missing music and podcasts.

How to play the playlist through headphones or a speaker
Spotify can play through your device’s speakers or supported external equipment, including Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers, Spotify Connect, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Alexa-compatible devices where available.

For private listening, optional Bluetooth headphones are compatible with Spotify playback; they are not required to locate or save Wrapped. To use them:
- Turn on Bluetooth on the phone, tablet, or computer running Spotify.
- Put the headphones into pairing mode.
- Pair them in the source device’s Bluetooth settings.
- Reopen Spotify and start the playlist.
- Choose the headphones as the audio output if the device does not switch automatically.
For room playback, you can use a Bluetooth speaker or another supported Spotify playback device. Spotify’s Bluetooth troubleshooting steps recommend checking the distance between devices, battery level, media-sharing permissions, and the pairing connection. If playback still fails, remove the device from Bluetooth settings, pair it again, and restart Spotify.

The 2019 campaign was notable because it looked beyond one calendar year. For qualifying accounts, Spotify showed leading artists and songs for each year from 2010 through 2019 and created a decade retrospective. Those personal decade cards were part of the interactive Wrapped experience, so they may be unavailable if they were not saved, shared, or captured at the time.
The global decade rankings are a different matter. Spotify’s published newsroom list can still show the company’s worldwide results, but it cannot recreate your personal decade. If your goal is to hear your own decade’s soundtrack, search your Library and playlists for a saved decade mix, then search Spotify for relevant personal playlist titles. Treat any public result as a possible substitute—not proof of your account’s listening history.

Start with Spotify → Search → “Your Top Songs 2019”, then save the Spotify result and copy its tracks into a new playlist. Try Made For You and other Spotify accounts if it is not immediately visible. Do not rely on spotify.com/wrapped to reopen the old interactive story, and do not confuse Spotify’s global 2019 or decade charts with your personal statistics. A saved playlist may still let you replay the music, but the original personalized cards and decade presentation are not guaranteed to be recoverable.
