Spanish authorities disrupted TVMucho, also known as Teeveeing, in an April 22, 2024 operation against an alleged illegal IPTV business. Eight people were arrested, servers and related domains were taken offline, and investigators reportedly estimated that subscriptions had generated more than $5.7 million since 2015. That figure describes alleged cumulative proceeds or profit—not the cash recovered in the raids.
What happened to TVMucho?
Spanish police searched properties in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Madrid, Oviedo and Málaga on April 22, 2024. The action followed an Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) criminal referral and disrupted TVMucho/Teeveeing’s service, websites and supporting infrastructure. ACE later described it as Spain’s first criminal action against an illegal IPTV operation of this scale, a characterization attributable to ACE rather than an independent legal finding.
ACE announced the operation on May 31, while BleepingComputer reported the case on June 2. The event is therefore a 2024 enforcement action, not a new 2026 shutdown. ACE’s announcement confirms the raid date, arrests, audience reach and blocked domains.
How large was the alleged service?
| Measure | Reported figure | Attribution and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Subscribers | About 14,000 | BleepingComputer’s account of the police case |
| Channels | More than 125 | ACE’s description |
| Channels | About 130 | Alternative count reported by BleepingComputer |
| Website visits | More than 4 million in 2023 | ACE |
| Content | International channels, films and series | Reports named brands including BBC, ITV, Sky and RTL |
The different channel totals likely reflect different counting methods or stages of the investigation. They should not be treated as a single audited catalogue.

How the alleged piracy system worked
According to the police description reported by BleepingComputer, the organization captured satellite signals in multiple countries, amplified and decrypted the multimedia content, then redistributed it without authorization through an IPTV platform and associated websites.
IPTV is a delivery method, not a synonym for piracy. Legitimate broadcasters and streaming services also use internet protocol television when they have the necessary rights. The alleged infringement here was the unauthorized capture, decryption and public redistribution of copyrighted programming.
Why reports cite $5.7 million
Reported subscription prices ranged from about $11 to $20.50 per month, or roughly $97 to $182.50 per year, depending on the plan. Authorities reportedly estimated that the operation generated more than $5.7 million from subscriptions since it began in 2015.

The available report does not provide an audited statement, a calculation schedule or a clear revenue-versus-net-profit breakdown. “Made $5.7 million” should therefore be read as a reported estimate of cumulative illegal earnings or proceeds, not proven net profit.
That estimate is also separate from the money reportedly recovered. Approximately $86,400 in bank-account funds was seized or frozen, according to BleepingComputer. The raid did not recover $5.7 million in cash.
Investigation timeline and enforcement action
- 2015: Authorities said the alleged operation began.
- November 2022: BleepingComputer reported that an investigation opened after a complaint.
- January 2023: ACE said it made the criminal referral that led to the targeted operation.
- April 22, 2024: Spanish authorities carried out searches and arrests.
- May 31–June 2, 2024: ACE and technology media publicly reported the disruption.
The November 2022 and January 2023 dates need not conflict: one may describe the initial complaint or investigative opening, while the other identifies ACE’s formal referral.

Eight people were arrested. Reports described a suspected Dutch leader as remaining under investigation and the arrested individuals as alleged subordinates. Arrests and investigation are not convictions.
The number of blocked properties also varies by source: BleepingComputer said servers supporting 16 illegal streaming sites were taken offline, while ACE reported that access to 15 related domains was blocked. These counts may cover different categories of infrastructure.

What the shutdown meant for subscribers
Active customers would have lost access when the platform and its servers were disrupted. Prepaid subscription time may be unrecoverable. BleepingComputer also warned that seized systems could contain subscriber information.

That does not establish what data authorities obtained, that every customer will be contacted, or that subscribers will be fined or prosecuted. Operating an alleged distribution service is legally different from purchasing access to it.
Practical steps for former customers
- Stop using remaining TVMucho/Teeveeing portals, applications and credentials.
- Change any password reused on the service or its associated websites.
- Monitor bank and payment accounts for unusual transactions.
- Treat unexpected refund, replacement-IPTV or “legal assistance” messages as potential phishing.
- Do not rush into another unverified IPTV service; choose licensed broadcaster or streaming services instead.
Why the case matters
The operation illustrates how a large unauthorized service can combine satellite capture, decryption, web distribution and recurring subscriptions at international scale. It also shows the risks for customers beyond copyright concerns: service loss, unrecoverable prepayments and possible exposure of account information. ACE’s description of the case as unusually large in Spain reflects the rights group’s assessment, while the legal status of the suspects remains unresolved.
The Bottom Line
TVMucho/Teeveeing was disrupted by Spanish raids on April 22, 2024. The reported $5.7 million is an estimated total from subscriptions since 2015, not the amount seized; reported recovered bank funds were about $86,400.
