OnlyFans creator Sophie Rain told PEOPLE in December 2024 that she had made more than $43 million over roughly one year on the platform, while saying her Christian faith remained central to her identity. The figure came from Rain’s own social-media dashboard disclosure and was not independently audited.
What the $43 million figure does—and does not—mean
Rain’s November 2024 disclosure reportedly showed $43,477,965 for the period from November 28, 2023, through November 28, 2024. Contemporary coverage treated that number as Rain’s claim, based on a creator-dashboard image she shared publicly.
That distinction matters. It is a historical, creator-provided figure for a defined 12-month period—not an audited financial statement, a verified estimate of her current income, a net-worth figure, or proof of take-home profit after taxes, business costs, and other expenses. Describing Rain as someone who “earns $43 million a year” would overstate what the reporting establishes.
PEOPLE’s December 2024 exclusive is the principal source for the account. The Independent also characterized the figure as Rain’s reported gross total, rather than independently verified payment data.

How Rain said she began
Rain told PEOPLE that she began posting on OnlyFans in May 2023 while working a minimum-wage restaurant job. She said her sister, Sierra, helped her get started and that she was fired after her employer discovered the account.
She also said her family initially reacted negatively, then became supportive. Rain connected her ambition to financial hardship during childhood and to a desire to help her parents. Those are her personal accounts of her background and motivations, not independently documented biographical findings.

Her account of faith and work
The tension between adult-content work and Christian values drew attention to Rain’s story, but the available reporting supports a narrower conclusion than a verdict on religion: Rain said her faith remained important to her.
She told PEOPLE that she grew up going to church with her family and continued watching streamed services from her Tampa home church. She said she did not believe her work conflicted with being Christian. That is Rain’s own understanding of her faith and practice; it should not be presented as a statement of what Christianity as a whole approves or rejects.

The careful way to read the story
- Established by reporting: PEOPLE published an interview with Rain in December 2024, and contemporaneous reports documented her public dashboard disclosure.
- Attributed to Rain: the $43,477,965 total, her work history, family response, church practice, major supporter, purchases, and plans for her parents.
- Not established: her present-day earnings, net profit, net worth, recurring annual income, or whether her beliefs represent those of other Christians.
Rain’s story is therefore best understood as a high-profile creator’s account of rapid platform earnings and the way she reconciles that work with her personal religious identity—not as audited proof of wealth or a broader ruling on faith.

Sophie Rain said she generated more than $43 million on OnlyFans during a specific year ending in November 2024 while continuing to identify strongly with her Christian faith. The money and faith claims are central to her story, but both should be reported with clear attribution to Rain and the contemporary coverage of her dashboard disclosure.
