Solo Leveling Season 3 has not been officially announced for Crunchyroll. As of August 11, 2026, the franchise’s next confirmed anime project is Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a theatrical movie co-produced by Crunchyroll and continuing the story after Season 2.
Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini has said that the creators are actively working on the next show, but that comment did not confirm a television Season 3, a release date, or a Crunchyroll streaming deal. For now, the movie is official; Season 3 remains unconfirmed.

What is officially confirmed?
Crunchyroll announced Solo Leveling: Beyond the System during its Anime Expo 2026 showcase on July 3, 2026. The announcement describes the film as the next chapter of the anime and says it continues from where Season 2 ended.
The project is a theatrical movie rather than a formally announced third television season. Crunchyroll is co-producing it with Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakao Piccoma. A-1 Pictures, the studio responsible for the television anime, is returning to produce the film.
#1 Best Overall
The official Japanese Solo Leveling website recorded the production announcement on July 4, 2026, and currently lists the movie as the franchise’s latest major project news. Neither announcement identifies a separate Season 3, a theatrical release date, or a later streaming window.
Has Crunchyroll confirmed Season 3?
No. The wording from Crunchyroll leadership is encouraging, but it is not a renewal announcement.
In a June 2026 interview reported by GamesRadar and quoting Radio Times, Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini said:
“Nothing to announce, but we are just as eager as the fans for the next show! We know the creators are actively working on it, so hopefully we can announce something soon.”

That statement supports the narrower conclusion that work is underway on a future Solo Leveling anime project. It does not establish that the project is definitely Season 3, that a production committee has formally announced it, or that it will stream on Crunchyroll.
An earlier May 2025 comment from Purini gave an even less definite answer, saying “We hope so” when he was asked about Season 3. He explained that the creators wanted to work on multiple shows and needed to find the right time to begin the next season. The newer “actively working” update is more positive, but neither statement is equivalent to an official Season 3 confirmation.
Why fans expect a future season on Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll remains the most plausible streaming home for a future television installment because of its established relationship with the franchise.
- The original anime adaptation was announced by Crunchyroll and Aniplex in 2022, with the series planned to premiere on Crunchyroll as it aired.
- The first season was distributed on Crunchyroll across a broad set of territories, including North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS region.
- Crunchyroll officially announced that Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- would stream on its service.
- Crunchyroll’s movie announcement describes the company as a streamer of the existing Solo Leveling anime and as a co-producer of Beyond the System.
This history makes Crunchyroll a reasonable forecast for a future Season 3. It is still only a forecast. Streaming rights are confirmed project by project, and the available announcements do not yet say that a third television season will be released on the platform.

Is Beyond the System Season 3?
No—not based on the official information currently available. The movie is a continuation of the anime after Season 2, but it should not be labeled Season 3.
It is possible that a future television season will follow the movie, but the rights holders have not announced whether that will happen, what it will be called, or when it could arrive. Calling the film “Season 3” would blur an important distinction: one project is formally announced as a movie, while the other remains an expected but unidentified future series.
Release date and streaming status
There is currently no confirmed release date for Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. The announcement also does not provide a theatrical territory list or a streaming date.
That means the following details remain unknown:
- When the movie will open in theaters.
- Which countries and territories will receive a theatrical release.
- When, or whether, it will become available on Crunchyroll after its theatrical run.
- Whether a separate television Season 3 will be produced.
- When a future Season 3 would premiere.
- How many episodes a future season would contain.
Availability may differ by country when further announcements arrive. The broad territory coverage attached to the original series should not automatically be applied to the movie.

What should fans watch or read while waiting?
The safest way to catch up is to watch the two completed television seasons on Crunchyroll, subject to regional availability. Fans who prefer physical media can also use the Solo Leveling Season 2 Blu-ray as a way to own or revisit the immediately preceding season. The verified release is Solo Leveling – Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow- BD/DVD (NA/ANZ), with Blu-ray and Blu-ray/DVD options listed for the North American and Australian/New Zealand market.
Readers who want to explore the source material can start with Solo Leveling Vol. 1 comic or the Solo Leveling light novel Vol. 1. These are catch-up options, not evidence that the movie or Season 3 is already available.
Production background
The anime is based on the Solo Leveling web novel and webtoon associated with Chugong, DUBU of REDICE Studio, and h-goon. The television adaptation is animated by A-1 Pictures, directed by Shunsuke Nakashige, with series composition by Noboru Kimura, character designs by Tomoko Sudo, and music by Hiroyuki Sawano.

The confirmed movie brings back A-1 Pictures and involves the same broader franchise partners named in the announcement: Aniplex, Crunchyroll, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakao Piccoma. That is meaningful evidence of continued investment in the property, but it still does not tell us whether the next project after the movie will be a television season.

What would count as a real Season 3 confirmation?
Fans should look for a future announcement that explicitly names a television Season 3 or provides equivalent formal details. Strong confirmation would normally include at least some combination of a title, production staff or studio, a key visual or trailer, a release window, and the licensed streaming platform.
Best Value
Until an official announcement specifically connects Season 3 with Crunchyroll, headlines saying that the season “will officially come” to the service are overstating the evidence. The accurate present-tense update is simpler: Crunchyroll is involved in the confirmed movie, and the creators are reportedly working on a future show, but Season 3 and its streaming home remain unannounced.
