Ryan Coogler’s supernatural period horror film later moved to subscription streaming, debuting on Max on July 4, 2025. The digital release was notable because participating storefronts offered a bonus edition with deleted scenes and several behind-the-scenes featurettes.

What is included in the digital bonus edition?
The most detailed storefront listing reviewed for the digital release identifies a bonus edition containing both deleted scenes and production featurettes. The precise menu can vary between retailers, countries, devices, and editions, so viewers should check the individual listing before buying if a particular extra matters to them.
Deleted scenes
- “Joan Watches Cornbread”
- “Farmhouse Dinner”
- “Juke Building Montage”
- “Mary and Annie talk about Gumbo”
- “Sammie and Slim talk at Piano”
- “Slim Plays My Preachin”
- “Jed Sermon and Steal Away”
The listed deleted scenes range from under a minute to approximately six minutes.
Behind-the-scenes featurettes
- “Dancing with the Devil: The Making of Sinners”
- “Blues in the Night: The Music of Sinners”
- “Wages of Sin: The Creature FX of Sinners”
- “Spirits of the Deep South”
- “Thicker than Blood: Becoming the Smokestack Twins”
The featurettes listed by the digital storefront run for approximately eight to 33 minutes. Warner Bros.’ official YouTube material separately highlights the film’s vampire makeup effects and Michael B. Jordan’s work creating the Smokestack Twins. Together, the extras concentrate on the areas most likely to interest viewers who want more than a standard making-of: prosthetics, creature design, costumes, visual effects, music, the film’s Southern setting, and the challenge of Jordan performing opposite himself in dual roles.

Buying tip: Readers who specifically want the deleted scenes and making-of material should look for the Sinners digital bonus edition on a participating digital storefront, rather than assuming that every rental, purchase listing, or subscription stream includes the same extras.
Where to watch Sinners in the U.S.
U.S. availability checked July 28, 2026
- Max: Subscription streaming.
- Amazon Prime Video: Listed as a subscription-streaming option, including an ad-supported option in the tracked listing.
- Amazon Video: Digital rental and purchase.
- Apple TV Store: Digital rental and purchase.
- Fandango At Home: Digital rental and purchase.
Availability and pricing are subject to change. A current storefront page may show different prices or editions depending on your location and account.
Subscription streaming versus digital purchase
These options are not interchangeable:
- Subscription streaming lets you watch while the film remains in the service’s catalog and your subscription is active. It does not give you permanent ownership.
- Digital rental provides a limited viewing window. The length of that window and the time allowed after playback begins are set by the retailer.
- Digital purchase adds the film to your account for viewing under the retailer’s terms. It is still an account-based digital entitlement, not a physical disc.
Amazon’s editorial listing confirms that a Prime membership is not required for a transactional purchase through the Prime Video Store. The same page reported a $19.99 purchase price when it was updated on October 1, 2025, but that is a historical price and should not be treated as the current cost without checking the storefront.
If the deleted scenes and featurettes are the priority, verify that the listing says bonus edition or otherwise identifies the extras before completing a purchase. If the priority is simply watching the film at the lowest immediate cost, compare the current subscription, rental, and purchase options at checkout.

Physical editions: 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD
The home-media release followed on July 8, 2025, in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. The physical editions are the better fit for viewers who want a permanent, offline copy rather than access tied to a streaming catalog or digital account. The home-media extras overlap with the bonus material offered digitally.
For a permanent copy, the Sinners 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is the most obvious collector-oriented option, but the exact transfer, disc configuration, packaging, and included features depend on the edition. Do not assume that every product listing has the same discs or bonus menu; confirm the specifications for the particular release being purchased.

Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →A physical disc also avoids some of the uncertainty associated with subscription catalogs: a title can leave a service, while a properly stored disc remains playable with compatible hardware. The trade-off is the higher upfront cost and the need for a 4K Blu-ray player or other compatible equipment for the 4K edition.
The soundtrack: a separate physical collectible
The music is central to Sinners’ identity, making the soundtrack a meaningful companion purchase rather than unrelated merchandise. The original motion-picture soundtrack was issued as a two-LP vinyl release through Mutant in partnership with Sony Masterworks, with a reported street date of November 21, 2025. Listings from Tower and Target identify the vinyl format and date.
The soundtrack listing identifies 22 songs and includes performances associated with Miles Caton, Hailee Steinfeld, Buddy Guy, Rhiannon Giddens, James Blake, Brittany Howard, Rod Wave, and others. Music fans should distinguish this two-LP physical soundtrack from digital music availability: the format, retailer, pressing, and stock status may vary.

Which version should you choose?
| Your priority | Best starting point | Important caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Watch without buying the film | Max or another currently listed subscription option | The film can leave a catalog, and subscription access is not ownership. |
| Watch once or twice at the lowest transactional cost | Compare the current digital rental prices | Rental windows vary by storefront. |

What “digital streaming” means in this release story
“Digital streaming” is often used as a catch-all, but Sinners followed a standard sequence with distinct business models. The June 3, 2025 release was primarily digital rental and purchase. The July 4 release on Max was subscription streaming. A subscription listing does not necessarily include the digital storefront’s deleted scenes or featurettes, and purchasing the film does not necessarily mean every retailer exposes the same bonus menu.
That distinction matters most for viewers choosing the film because of its extras. Check the edition name and feature list, not just the film title.
