OutreMer Film produced the series for ZDF and ZDF Studios. ZDF Studios announced on December 16, 2025 that it had secured international distribution rights. Which work titled Silent War do you mean?
The two-word title is not unique. The ZDF Studios documentary is Silent War: In the Shadow of Atomic Bombs. It is distinct from The Silent War: The Cold War Battle Beneath the Sea, John Pina Craven’s book about submarine operations, espionage and military technology, and from Silent War: Battles Beneath the Sea, a separate BBC submarine-warfare documentary listed by Apple TV as a 2016 film with a runtime of 1 hour 41 minutes.
