Yacht Club Games announced two performances of Shovel Knight Live: Steel Thy Concert: New York City on February 22, 2025, and Los Angeles on March 30, 2025. Both dates have passed. The announcement described the event as the first official Shovel Knight concert, pairing live orchestral and rock music with gameplay footage.
When and where were the Shovel Knight concerts announced?
| City | Venue | Date listed on the official event page |
|---|---|---|
| New York City | The Town Hall | February 22, 2025 |
| Los Angeles | The Fonda Theatre | March 30, 2025 |
The Los Angeles date was revised: the announcement trailer initially showed January 19, 2025, while the official event page lists March 30, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, both advertised dates are in the past. What was the show supposed to include?
Yacht Club Games presented the concert as a decade celebration for the series, with a live ensemble combining orchestral and rock arrangements while gameplay footage played on screen. The announcement named arranger Charlie Rosen, described as Grammy award-winning, and Shovel Knight composer Jake Kaufman.
The event page also advertised an unreleased track from Mina the Hollower alongside an exclusive gameplay preview. These were promotional descriptions of what attendees could expect, not confirmation of what was ultimately performed.
