Shark Week 2025 was a past event. Discovery Channel’s 37th annual Shark Week ran from Sunday, July 20, through Saturday, July 26, 2025, with the main nightly premieres beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Viewers who missed it can look for individual specials in the current Max, Discovery+, cable-provider, or digital on-demand catalogs—but no source reviewed confirms a complete, universally free stream of the 2025 lineup.
The most reliable legal options were an on-demand subscription service after broadcast or a live-TV streaming bundle that carried Discovery Channel. Because streaming catalogs, plans, free trials, and regional availability change, check the individual program listing and provider terms before paying or starting a trial.

What was on the Shark Week 2025 schedule?
The opening night paired the unusual Dancing With Sharks with two great-white-focused programs. Bergeron hosted the underwater dance competition, which involved trained divers and shark partners. Air Jaws: The Hunt for Colossus followed a search for the great white known as Colossus, while Great White Assassins examined killer-whale attacks on great white sharks.
Monday’s Jaws vs. Mega Croc used CGI to present a hypothetical confrontation between a great white shark and a Nile crocodile. It was not documented footage of a real animal fight. Tuesday included survival advice, a look at great whites in northern waters, and Black Mako of the Abyss.
Wednesday expanded the event’s expedition format with Expedition Unknown: Shark Files, Expedition X: Malpelo Monster Shark, and Alien Sharks: Death Down Under. Thursday’s Surviving Jaws connected with the 50th anniversary of the 1975 film Jaws and revisited shark myths and behavior through field and marine-science investigations.

How to watch Shark Week 2025 online now
Since the broadcast week has ended, viewers should search for the specific special rather than expect a continuously running Shark Week channel. Availability can differ by country, subscription, episode, and date.
1. Check Max’s on-demand catalog
Contemporary 2025 viewing guides reported that Shark Week programming became available on HBO Max/Max after its Discovery Channel air dates. The service was commonly called HBO Max in some 2025 coverage, while its current brand is Max.
That does not establish that every 2025 special remains available. Search Max for the exact title—such as Dancing With Sharks or Air Jaws: The Hunt for Colossus—and confirm the episode page before subscribing. If a title is absent, a general Shark Week collection should not be treated as proof that the complete 2025 lineup is available.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2. Use a live-TV streaming bundle
During the 2025 event, viewing guides identified Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV STREAM, and YouTube TV as online routes to a live Discovery Channel feed. This option was most useful for watching the premieres as they aired or recording them through a provider’s available DVR features.
For a current subscription, verify all of the following on the provider’s own site:

- That Discovery Channel is included in the specific plan available at your address.
- The current monthly price, taxes, equipment charges, and any promotional period.
- Whether the service carries the Eastern or Pacific feed, and whether local restrictions apply.
- Whether the provider’s DVR or on-demand library still contains the 2025 episode you want.
- How and when a free trial or introductory offer converts to a paid subscription.
3. Check Discovery+ and other on-demand listings
Discovery+ was associated with Shark Week programming, but contemporaneous coverage treated the complete 2025 offering as something that might arrive later rather than as a guaranteed same-day archive. Check the current title-level listings instead of assuming that every Discovery Channel broadcast is permanently included.
Third-party availability indexes can also be useful for finding legal rental, purchase, subscription, or provider-specific listings. A current U.S. JustWatch listing indicated that some Shark Week-related programming could appear through subscription services, digital purchase, Amazon Channels, or, in some cases, a free Spectrum On Demand listing. That does not prove that every 2025 episode is free, available in every location, or included in one complete archive.
Can you watch Shark Week 2025 online for free?
There was no verified, universally available official free stream for the entire Shark Week 2025 event. Some viewers might have accessed individual programs at no additional cost through an existing TV subscription, an authenticated provider account, a temporary provider promotion, a free trial, or a free on-demand entitlement that varied by location. Those possibilities are not the same as a permanent free archive.
If you consider a trial, check the end date, cancellation method, billing time zone, and whether the desired Shark Week episode is actually included before signing up. A trial can become a paid subscription if it is not canceled according to the provider’s terms.
Discovery’s official YouTube presence also published Shark Week clips and promotional material. The available evidence did not establish that full 2025 premiere episodes were legally available there, so YouTube should be treated as a source for clips and previews—not as a confirmed complete free stream.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to avoid fake Shark Week streams
Be cautious with sites promising every episode free through an unofficial player, a mirror link, or a download. Such pages may be unauthorized, disappear without notice, expose visitors to misleading pop-ups, or request payment details for a service unrelated to Discovery.
- Prefer Discovery Channel, Max, Discovery+, or a recognized live-TV provider.
- Confirm that the page names the exact episode and identifies the service supplying it.
- Do not install an unfamiliar browser extension or “special player” to watch a television episode.
- Do not enter card details into a page that does not clearly identify the billing company and cancellation terms.
- Remember that a free clip on an official YouTube channel is not evidence of a free full episode.
Bottom line
Shark Week 2025 ran July 20–26 on Discovery Channel, with the main premieres at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Dancing With Sharks as the opening special. The event is no longer airing. For legal online viewing now, search Max, Discovery+, live-TV streaming providers, and digital listings for the individual programs. There was no confirmed universal free stream for the complete lineup, and current availability must be checked episode by episode.
