Apple TV+ announced the renewal on March 21, 2025, the morning after the Season 2 finale arrived. The announcement confirmed another season, but did not give a premiere date or production schedule.
Is Severance renewed for Season 3?
Yes. Apple TV+’s March 21, 2025 announcement says the series “has been renewed for a third season.” The Associated Press reported that Apple confirmed the renewal the morning after the Season 2 finale was released (AP, March 21, 2025).
The news means the story of Lumon Industries’ severed employees is set to continue. Apple’s premise follows Mark Scout and a team whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives; the Season 2 synopsis says Mark and his friends discover the consequences of tampering with that barrier.
When does Severance Season 3 come out?
Apple’s renewal announcement did not include a Season 3 premiere date, production timeline, or episode count. No current official release date or production status is established by the cited announcements, so a specific year or month should not be treated as confirmed.

In a March 21, 2025 AP interview, director and executive producer Ben Stiller described the creative process as fluid, with the team revisiting material they had shot and edited (AP interview). That context is not a schedule. Later reported comments about the creative direction likewise do not amount to an official premiere announcement (Tom’s Guide, September 15, 2025).
Who is returning for Season 3?
Apple’s renewal release names Adam Scott among the series’ stars and identifies him as an executive producer. It also describes Ben Stiller as an executive producer and director, and Dan Erickson as creator, writer, and executive producer. The release does not provide a full Season 3 cast lineup, so it should not be read as confirmation of every performer’s return.

Where can you watch the first two seasons?
Apple said the complete first and second seasons were streaming globally on Apple TV+ when it announced the renewal in March 2025. That is a dated availability statement, not a guarantee of current access in every country; check the official series page and your local Apple TV+ service for present availability and subscription terms.
