When did September 5 come out on streaming?
Paramount announced on February 24, 2025 that September 5 would start streaming on Paramount+ the following day, February 25, in the U.S. and Canada. Paramount’s announcement said additional international Paramount+ availability would be announced later; it did not give a global streaming date.
Where can you stream September 5?
Paramount+’s film guide, published March 3, 2025, listed the movie as streaming on the service at that time. The Associated Press also reported it available on Prime Video in a late-May 2025 streaming roundup. Those are dated listings, not confirmation of today’s catalog or of the same access terms in every country. Check Paramount+ and Prime Video directly for your location; the cited reports do not establish current price or whether Prime Video access is included with a subscription rather than offered as a rental or purchase.
What is September 5 about?
Set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, the film follows ABC Sports journalists as they shift from sports coverage to live reporting after Israeli athletes are taken hostage. Paramount’s synopsis focuses on producer Geoff Mason, TV executive Roone Arledge, interpreter Marianne, and mentor Marvin Bader as the newsroom makes urgent reporting decisions amid danger to human life.
