There is no publicly verified current total. Published third-party estimates range from $700 million to $1.3 billion: Celebrity Net Worth reported that Forbes put her at $700 million in May 2025, while Celebrity Net Worth’s own 2026 profile estimates $1 billion. Bloomberg’s September 2024 estimate was $1.3 billion, much of it tied to Rare Beauty. These are dated estimates, not audited disclosures.
How the estimates compare
| Publisher and date | Estimate | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Bloomberg, September 2024 | $1.3 billion | Bloomberg attributed about 81% of its estimate to Gomez’s presumed Rare Beauty stake. It used a 51% ownership assumption based on her founder role, not a publicly confirmed ownership disclosure. Bloomberg |
| Forbes, May 2025, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth | $700 million | A later estimate reported by Celebrity Net Worth; it is not an audited personal balance sheet. Celebrity Net Worth |
| Celebrity Net Worth, 2026 | $1 billion | Celebrity Net Worth’s own estimate, which discusses uncertainty around both Rare Beauty’s value and Gomez’s ownership share. Celebrity Net Worth |
These numbers should not be averaged into a supposedly precise current fortune. Rare Beauty is privately held, and its capitalization table—the record of who owns what share—is not public. Different assumptions about the company’s value and Gomez’s stake can move an estimate by hundreds of millions of dollars.
Why Rare Beauty changes the calculation
Rare Beauty, launched in September 2020, is the largest factor in Bloomberg’s estimate. The company does not publish a public-market valuation that would settle the value of Gomez’s stake, and the ownership percentage used by outside estimators is also uncertain. Celebrity Net Worth describes roughly 50–55% as a working range, not a confirmed disclosure.
A reported 2024 sale process explored a $2 billion valuation for Rare Beauty, but Axios reported that the process was put on hold after prospective buyers did not meet that figure. An explored price is not a completed sale or proof that the company was worth that amount. Axios

Company revenue is not the same as the founder’s personal income or wealth. Celebrity Net Worth reports that a California filing showed Rare Beauty revenue of $367 million in 2023; that figure describes the company, not money paid to Gomez. TIME reported that the brand’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush generated $70 million in sales in 2023, and listed a $23 price in its September 2024 coverage. Product sales illustrate the brand’s reach, but do not reveal its profit, valuation, or the value of Gomez’s personal stake. TIME
How Gomez built wealth beyond the brand
Gomez’s career spans her rise on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, acting, recording, endorsements, property, and other investments. That breadth matters, but Bloomberg’s 2024 breakdown shows why a business stake dominates the largest published estimate: it attributed less than 5% of the estimated fortune to touring and less than 2% to album and record sales. Those percentages describe Bloomberg’s analysis, not a universal accounting of her earnings.
The transition from performer to business owner is therefore not simply a story of Disney paychecks accumulating into billionaire status. In Bloomberg’s estimate, the central asset was an assumed share of a privately held cosmetics company; acting and music are part of the wider picture, but the public figures do not disclose a full inventory of her assets and liabilities.
Rare Beauty’s mission and the Rare Impact Fund
Rare Beauty’s commercial growth is paired with a stated mental-health mission. TIME reported the company’s commitment to direct 1% of sales to the Rare Impact Fund. “Sales” is the denominator: this is not a claim that 1% of profit or Gomez’s personal wealth goes to the fund. Gomez told TIME at the 2024 TIME100 Summit, “I didn’t want to really enter the cosmetics world without a mission.” TIME
That charitable commitment is relevant to the company’s identity, but it does not establish the size of Gomez’s fortune. Likewise, expansion can signal business momentum without proving a particular valuation: Celebrity Net Worth reports that Rare Beauty launched with Sephora and expanded into more than 1,500 Ulta Beauty stores in February 2026.

Some published estimates put her above the billion-dollar mark, including Bloomberg’s September 2024 estimate and Celebrity Net Worth’s 2026 figure. Another estimate reported by Celebrity Net Worth put her at $700 million in May 2025. Because the key business valuation and ownership assumptions remain private, the available sources do not establish a definitive yes-or-no answer about her current net worth.
