A 2017 Yahoo Entertainment ranking grouped together a towel image, music-video imagery, bikini and lingerie looks, low-cut clothing, and the Revival album cover. Its order and “Naked Ranking” scores are subjective editorial judgments, not an objective measure of nudity.
Looking at the cited examples by presentation and context makes the distinction clearer: revealing or suggestive styling is not the same as nudity, and neither a swimsuit scene nor a stylized album cover establishes an explicit nude appearance.

What does “naked” mean in this ranking?
Yahoo Entertainment published “Selena Gomez’s Most Naked Moments, Ranked” on January 17, 2017. Although its opening describes “scantily clad pics,” the entries span different kinds of imagery rather than one consistent category. The ranking’s scores reflect the publication’s own judgments; the cited material provides no shared scale for measuring “nakedness.”
- Nudity: an appearance without clothing. The examples described in the ranking do not establish a verified series of nude appearances.
- Implied nudity or suggestive framing: imagery that uses cropping, a towel, or a pose to suggest intimacy or exposure without establishing that the person is nude.
- Revealing clothing: bikinis, lingerie, or low-cut outfits remain clothing, even when a publication frames them as provocative.
Those distinctions matter because the headline’s provocative shorthand can make unlike images sound equivalent. The useful question is what each cited example actually depicts and where it appeared.

What the Spring Breakers reporting says

That account documents a bikini-clad scene and a difficult filming experience; it does not describe a nude scene.
Gomez’s comments on performance and expectations
In an interview discussing the shower imagery in the Good for You video, Gomez said: “I had to remind myself that it’s an unrealistic expectation that people have for women.” Her remark adds context to how she thought about the video and public expectations. It should not be recast as evidence that the video depicts explicit nudity.

The same interview coverage discusses the Revival album cover and public reactions to paparazzi swimsuit photos. Keeping those images distinct—a stylized cover pose on one hand and swimsuit photographs on the other—avoids treating visibility or suggestiveness as a synonym for nudity.

The Yahoo article is best understood as a 2017 entertainment listicle about varying degrees of revealing or suggestive imagery. Its ranking is editorial, not a factual inventory or a consistent rating system. The cited examples support descriptions of towels, shower imagery, swimwear, lingerie, low-cut clothing, and album art; they do not support presenting the collection as verified nude appearances.
