Here’s the week’s schedule, with the U.S. release time for Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 clearly distinguished from dates in other regions.

Tom’s Guide also listed Cover-Up for Friday, Dec. 26. That makes eight named entries when the two Christmas Day NFL games are counted as one doubleheader; the headline’s “7” reflects the seven featured releases above, not a complete count of every item mentioned in the weekly guide. Tom’s Guide’s Dec. 22–28, 2025 release guide is the source for that additional listing.

What to stream, depending on your mood
For a documentary
Choose Elway for a first-person account of the quarterback’s story. Netflix describes it as a documentary told in John Elway’s own words.
For a family drama
Goodbye June is the week’s film pick. Netflix describes the story as a family farewell, and identifies it as Kate Winslet’s directorial debut.

For the latest from Hawkins
Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 continues the final season with episodes 5–7. Its launch is the week’s most time-sensitive release, because the U.S. date and the date shown in some other countries differ.
For live holiday viewing
The Christmas Gameday doubleheader pairs the Cowboys with the Commanders and the Lions with the Vikings. It is the choice for viewers looking for live sports rather than a film or series.
