The awards’ official winners list records the entry in Sports, Entertainment and Sponsorship, category A10—not in a general documentary category.
What award did the documentary win?
The film received a Silver Award, also described as a Silver Dolphin, in the Sports, Entertainment and Sponsorship category. The Cannes winners list names the entry “For that single moment – Seiko Timing Team, Tokyo 2025” and identifies Seiko Group Corporation as the client. Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2026 winners list records it as category A10; Seiko’s announcement gives the longer title, “For that single moment [Seiko Timing Team Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships].” Seiko Group’s announcement
The award was presented at the ceremony in Cannes, France, on September 24, 2026. Seiko announced the win the following day. The awards’ official homepage gives the ceremony date, while Seiko’s announcement confirms its publication date.
What is the film about?
Seiko describes the documentary as a behind-the-scenes account of its Timing Team’s work at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships, where Seiko served as official timer. The company says the film follows preparations to support fair and reliable competition, the pressure of timing elite events to one-thousandth-of-a-second precision, and the staff whose work supports athletes. Those are Seiko’s descriptions of the film, rather than an independent assessment of its content. Seiko Group’s announcement
