Scopely launched its first MONOPOLY GO! collaboration with Marvel on September 26, 2024. It was a time-limited in-game event announced to run through December 5, 2024, not an offer that remains available. Players could collect and trade Marvel-themed stickers, join themed events, and unlock in-game cosmetics and rewards.
What was the MONOPOLY GO! Marvel event?
Scopely framed the collaboration as a story in which Dr. Lizzie Bell welcomes Marvel superheroes into the MONOPOLY GO! world. The launch announcement named Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, and the Avengers. It described a collection of 20 special sticker sets, which players could trade with one another.
The event’s announced window ended on December 5, 2024. The activities below describe what Scopely announced for that event; they are not confirmation that those activities can still be played.
What activities and rewards did Scopely announce?
Marvel-themed events
- Avengers Racers: a team racing event featuring Marvel-inspired vehicles.
- Amazing Partners Event: a cooperative activity in which players teamed up to build a Marvel-themed statue.
- Guardians of the Galaxy dig event: a themed treasure-dig activity.
Stickers and collectibles
Players could collect and trade the 20 special sticker sets. Scopely said completing sticker albums unlocked Marvel tokens and shields. These were in-game collectibles and cosmetics; the announcement does not describe them as physical merchandise.

Did Marvel return to MONOPOLY GO!?
Yes. Scopely later announced a separate Fantastic Four collaboration, describing it as building on the September 2024 Marvel crossover. Its announcement mentions themed Racers, Partners, Treasures, Deluxe Drop cosmetics, tokens, emojis, and shields. The announcement excerpt gives a July 13 launch date but does not state the year, so the date should not be assigned a year on that evidence alone. This later collaboration was distinct from the original event.
Was there a physical Marvel MONOPOLY GO! game?
Scopely separately announced a physical MONOPOLY GO! board game developed with Hasbro, described as a two-to-four-player tabletop game and announced for U.S. sale through Amazon and Target. That announcement does not describe the board game as Marvel-themed, and it does not establish current retail stock. The mobile crossover’s stickers, tokens, and shields should not be confused with physical products.

What Scopely said about the collaboration
At launch, Scopely SVP of Publishing Eric Wood called it “the first of its kind for ‘MONOPOLY GO!’” and said it “sets a new standard for incorporating major franchises into casual gaming.” Marvel Games VP of Product and Creative Tim Hernandez described the collaboration as a “fun and surprisingly fitting way” to combine Marvel superheroes with MONOPOLY GO!’s gameplay and artistry.
Scopely’s announcement also cited more than $3 billion in revenue during the 15 months after the game’s launch, more than 120 billion passes of GO, more than 5 billion completed boards, and 15 billion jail landings. Those are company-published figures, not independently verified measurements of the Marvel event’s effect.
