The “new Sailor Moon show” is a live theatrical production, not a newly announced television anime. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo- opened on April 4, 2026, at Club eX in Tokyo. Its official schedule lists performances through November 30, 2026, with two teams alternating the double-cast characters.
What is the new Sailor Moon show?
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo- is a live theater attraction carrying on the earlier Shining Moon Tokyo concept. The project describes it as a dedicated theater experience with an original story and staging created for this venue, rather than a new TV anime. The January 26 announcement said audiences could experience the series through a story and staging available only at the theater.
The production opened April 4, 2026. Its first season ran from April 4 through July 31, and the official schedule lists a second season from August 3 through November 30, 2026. The published end date is still ahead as of October 8, 2026; that schedule alone does not confirm that a particular performance has tickets remaining. See the official project schedule and ticket channels for current performance availability.
What is the story about?
The original plot begins in a new theme park, where Usagi and her friends encounter Queen Valusia. According to the official synopsis, Valusia uses AI to create a perfect world and steals Usagi’s heart; other characters are affected as well. Chibiusa and the Outer Guardians try to save their friends.

The conflict turns on whether a world made perfect by AI can offer the real love the characters are seeking. Queen Valusia is an original character for this theater production, not a figure described as part of a newly announced anime. The official project announcement is the source for the synopsis and character details.
How many cast teams are there?
The production announced two teams, Team Gold Moon and Team Silver Moon, with the characters double-cast. That means the team performing can vary by date, so fans who want to see particular performers should check the cast schedule for the exact show before booking. The April 2 official notice included preview-performance material for both teams, but does not establish current ticket inventory.

Where is the theater?
Performances take place at Club eX, on the third floor of the Annex Tower at Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Takanawa, Minato City, Tokyo. The hotel location is part of the attraction’s identity, but it does not mean that a hotel stay is included with an ordinary theater ticket.
What were the announced ticket prices?
The official January announcement listed reserved-seat prices by category. These are announced prices, not a live quote or confirmation that seats remain available. Check the official ticket channel for the performance date you want.
