What watches does Russell Crowe own?
Public reports document watches Crowe auctioned in 2018 and watches he discussed in videos reported in 2026. The two records answer different questions: an auction lot was offered for sale, while a watch shown or discussed later is part of a selected rotation. Neither establishes a complete current ownership list.
Maxim described a TikTok video as showing seven of Crowe’s favorite watches for 2026. Its list included a yellow-gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, a Tudor Black Bay Chrono Blue, an Omega Seamaster James Bond 60th anniversary model, a Maurice de Mauriac Rallymaster II Wimbledon edition, a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic, a Rolex Sky-Dweller and a Rolex 1908 Perpetual. Maxim’s February 19, 2026 report attributes that selection to the video; it should not be read as a count of his whole collection.
Crowe himself acknowledged the limit, saying a full tour “would take quite some time.” Hodinkee also cautioned that the videos are not a comprehensive collection tour. Their value is in the personal stories and preferences Crowe chose to share, not in providing a definitive inventory.

Which Rolex and Omega watches appear in the recent reports?
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
Maxim lists a yellow-gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona among the 2026 favorites. Hodinkee identifies the Daytona discussed in the videos as reference 126518LN. That reference is attached to Hodinkee’s identification, not to every Daytona Crowe has owned or appeared with.
Rolex Sky-Dweller
Hodinkee identifies a Rolex Sky-Dweller reference 336935 and quotes Crowe saying, “I put this one into semi-retirement a few years ago as it does scream for attention”. The remark describes his use of that watch; it does not establish how often he wears it now.

Omega Seamaster James Bond anniversary model
Maxim identifies an Omega Seamaster James Bond 60th anniversary watch, while Hodinkee calls it the Omega Seamaster Diver – 60 Years of James Bond. Crowe said he and his tennis doubles partner bought matching examples for what he described as a “psychological edge.” Maxim quotes his praise: “It wears beautifully… I just really appreciate this watch.”
The reports differ in how much model detail they provide. The 2026 video coverage identifies these selected watches, but does not turn the seven-watch list into a verified record of all Crowe’s Rolex or Omega ownership.

What other watches did Crowe discuss?
The selection reported by Maxim extends beyond Rolex and Omega, naming Tudor, Maurice de Mauriac and Jaeger-LeCoultre. Hodinkee’s account also describes Crowe discussing watches from William Wood, U-Boat, Giuliano Mazzuoli and Otsuka Lotec. Those mentions show that the videos covered a wider range than the two best-known brands in the title.
A watch chosen for a screen role should not automatically be counted as part of Crowe’s personal collection. Hodinkee reports that he selected a William Wood Triumph Heat for his role in Beast, saying he wore it as if it were “a gift from his daughter to somehow brighten up her old man’s life”. That is a story about character and costume, not evidence of personal ownership.

Which watches did Russell Crowe sell at auction?
At the April 7, 2018 “The Art of Divorce” auction in Sydney, Crowe said the sale would include 29 watches, “representing over half my collection.” He estimated that “21 or so” of the watches were chronographs. These were Crowe’s figures in a February 2, 2018 tweet, quoted in Time+Tide’s 2020 retrospective. In a follow-up, he joked: “Never had a flash watch as a kid. Certainly made up for it as an adult haha”.
The retrospective identifies several auction lots, including two prominent Rolex and Omega models:

Other watches named in the retrospective include a Panerai Luminor Submersible (lot 198), Panerai Luminor GMT (lot 199), Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Chronograph (lot 200), Breitling Avenger Seawolf (lot 202), Rolex Yacht-Master (lot 203), Cartier Tank Américaine Chronograph (lot 206) and Rolex Cellini (lot 217). The sale record is evidence that these pieces were offered at auction in 2018—not that they remain in Crowe’s possession.
Did Russell Crowe sell his entire watch collection?
No. Crowe described the 29 watches in the 2018 sale as over half his collection, not all of it. The later video reports show selected watches and do not establish what else he owns. The most accurate picture is therefore a documented partial history: auctioned watches from 2018 and a separately reported selection discussed in 2026.
