She also described the constant online response as overwhelming and said stepping away from X helped her set a boundary.
What Q said about being eliminated
Q was eliminated immediately before the season 16 finale, leaving Plane Jane, Nymphia Wind and Sapphira Cristál as the final three. In an exit interview quoted by PinkNews on April 11, 2024, Q summed up her reaction: “It’s definitely a bummer [but] I’ve processed that by now.”
She also said she was unsure whether a longer run would have helped her standing with viewers: “Honestly, I don’t know if staying longer in the competition has benefitted me more [as it might have if I left] earlier. It’s always that kind of toss-up with how you’re perceived by the audience. Who knows if me even staying this long was good. I’m at peace with it.”
How Q described the elimination episode
In an April 8, 2024 interview with the Houston Chronicle, Q recalled realizing that the “semifinals” framing meant one contestant would be sent home before the finale. After hearing her critiques, she expected she might be the one eliminated and said it was difficult to continue the challenge while feeling “kind of written off.”

The reporting establishes the episode outcome: Q landed in the bottom two and was eliminated. It does not establish why producers made that decision, so her comments about anticipating the result should not be treated as evidence of production intent or proof that the elimination was unfair.
Why Q stepped back from online commentary
Q described the ongoing mix of positive and negative reactions as pressure that followed her across social media. “Oh, I think just the constant pressure online, negative and positive, every day, all day and just seeing it populate on all your social media, all the time without even having to look for it. It can be overwhelming,” she told the Houston Chronicle.

She deactivated her X account and tried to spend less time on her phone. Q said that creating distance helped her focus on people who knew her personally. In a separate April 8, 2024 report by Pajiba, she urged viewers: “Try to be more kind. We’re all out here trying to make a living and make our dreams happen. We finally achieved this huge thing, and we invest thousands of dollars and hours just for it to be scrutinized. Just try to be kinder to people on the show.” This was Q’s appeal to fans, not a verified estimate of contestants’ expenses.
