How did Moreno support other comedians?
Comedian Ken Jeong credited Moreno with giving him an early opportunity at the Ice House. “Rudy Moreno, the Godfather of Latino Comedy, was the first person to book me at the Ice House,” Jeong said. He recalled that Moreno continued to give him stage time, and that his wife first saw him perform stand-up at one of Moreno’s shows, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
