The $441 million number is nominal worldwide box-office revenue, not an inflation-adjusted total. Does the movie still hold up?

Some gender-based humor and the central disguise may feel dated to modern viewers. The premise is specifically about a father assuming a nanny persona to access his children; it should not be treated as a story about transgender identity. Viewers can appreciate Williams’ performance while also recognizing that parts of the comedy belong to the cultural moment in which the film was made.
