Ardon’s career and priorities
The profile identifies Ardon as a former cadet reporter at The West Australian and reports that he had won 10 Logie Awards as Western Australia’s most popular TV personality. Both the award count and its description come from the 2021 feature, rather than a current awards tally.
In an interview with West Live quoted by PerthNow, Ardon described the urgency he associated with reporting breaking news: “I don’t care what time of day it is or where it is,” he said. “We have to get there first and we have to tell the people of WA first — accurately — what’s going on.”

What the 2021 milestone does—and does not—tell us
- It establishes a dated anniversary: the pair had presented together for 36 years by April 2021, according to PerthNow.
- It records the article’s historical comparison: PerthNow said their partnership had exceeded the 32-year WNBC benchmark it cited.
- It does not establish a current schedule or tenure total: the profile is not a current programming notice, and its anniversary and award figures should remain tied to 2021.
