CarCody’s March 7, 2026 article identifies James May as the surprise visitor at Richard Hammond’s workshop, The Smallest Cog. The article does not provide primary-source confirmation of the visit or name any specific new Hammond projects, so those claims remain unverified. Separately, Amazon announced a new presenting trio for The Grand Tour in February 2026; that change does not reveal what Hammond is working on individually.
What does the report say about The Smallest Cog visitor?
CarCody’s article, published March 7, 2026, names James May as the visitor. It does not link to a statement, interview, post, or other primary evidence confirming that May visited the workshop. The identification should therefore be treated as CarCody’s claim, not as an independently established event. Read the CarCody article.
What new projects has Richard Hammond announced?
The CarCody article frames Hammond as having new projects, but it does not identify a project by name, give a release date, or cite an announcement from Hammond or a representative. The available material does not establish what those projects are or when they might appear.
How does the 2026 Grand Tour announcement fit in?
On February 5, 2026, Amazon announced that The Grand Tour would return with presenters Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland. That is official context about the series’ presenting lineup, not confirmation of a new project for Hammond or evidence about a visit to The Smallest Cog. Amazon’s announcement.
