In the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere, Teresa Giudice told Rachel Fuda she had heard Rachel’s husband, John, was “the biggest drug dealer in Bergen County.” The remark was an allegation made on camera, not an established finding. Bravo later recapped John describing a narrower part of his past: selling marijuana as a juvenile.
What Teresa said in the Season 14 premiere
At a gathering celebrating Jennifer Fessler, Teresa confronted Rachel Fuda and warned her not to come for Teresa’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. As Bravo recounted the May 6, 2024 premiere, Teresa said, “I heard he was the biggest drug dealer in Bergen County,” and threatened to “take that bitch down.” The wording presented the claim as something Teresa said she had heard; Bravo’s recap does not independently verify it. Read Bravo’s premiere recap.
The accusation landed amid an existing dispute: John had alleged that Louie hired an investigator to dig up information on John and his ex-wife, while Louie denied doing so, according to Bravo. Those competing claims were part of the conflict surrounding the confrontation, not proof of Teresa’s allegation about John.
Was John Fuda a drug dealer?
The cited coverage does not establish Teresa’s broad characterization as fact. In Bravo’s recap of Season 14, Episode 6, John described selling marijuana as a juvenile and said he had since straightened up his life as a businessman and father. That on-show account concerns his juvenile past; it does not substantiate the premiere’s sweeping claim that he was Bergen County’s “biggest” drug dealer. Read Bravo’s Episode 6 recap.

How John responded after the premiere
Reality Tea reported on May 6, 2024, that John posted a statement after the episode aired. The outlet reproduced this passage: “While I am not proud of every aspect of my history, I have worked tirelessly to overcome challenges and strive for a better future. I refuse to be defined by my past mistakes.” This is John’s reported response, as quoted by Reality Tea, rather than independent confirmation of the allegation. Read Reality Tea’s report.
Teresa’s later apology and John’s reaction
In Episode 6, Teresa said, “If you heard that I called you a drug dealer currently, I’m sorry you heard that.” Bravo reported that she continued to say she meant John’s past. John said he wanted a proper apology and did not consider this one authentic. He also expressed concern that the renewed attention to his past was affecting his son, according to the recap.
