Reality Steve’s bombshell spoiler about Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette winner identified Devin Strader, with Marcus Shoberg as runner-up, before the finale aired. Steve also reported that Strader allegedly said, “I believe 9/11 was an inside job,” during a Truth or Dare exchange that producers did not include in the broadcast.
The finale confirmed the winner spoiler, but the relationship outcome was far less conventional: Tran chose Strader and proposed in Hawaii, then said he ended their engagement by phone before the live After the Final Rose reunion.
Key takeaways
- Reality Steve reportedly identified Devin Strader as Jenn Tran’s winner and Marcus Shoberg as the runner-up before the Season 21 finale aired.
- The unaired controversy involved a reported Truth or Dare answer attributed to Strader: “I believe 9/11 was an inside job.”
- Jenn Tran ultimately chose Strader and proposed to him in Hawaii during the filmed finale.
- Tran said Strader ended their engagement by phone before the live After the Final Rose broadcast, telling her he no longer loved her or felt the same way.
- Maria Georgas denied having any role in Tran and Strader’s breakup after Strader followed Georgas on Instagram.
Who did Jenn Tran pick on The Bachelorette?
Jenn Tran picked Devin Strader as her final choice on The Bachelorette Season 21, matching Reality Steve’s pre-finale spoiler. Tran proposed to Strader in Hawaii, but the engagement had ended by the time the couple appeared on the live After the Final Rose broadcast, according to ABC News’ finale account.
Reality Steve’s spoiler was therefore correct about the filmed ending, but “winner” needs a qualification: Strader was Tran’s final choice and fiancé, not her lasting romantic partner. The relationship ended before viewers received a conventional televised happy ending.

What did Devin Strader allegedly say that producers did not air?
The unaired bombshell was a reported answer during a Truth or Dare game in the Season 21 premiere. Reality Steve said Strader was asked which conspiracy theory he believed and allegedly answered, “I believe 9/11 was an inside job,” as reported by Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
The wording matters. The remark was reported as something Reality Steve said the show filmed but left out of the broadcast; it was not an ABC-confirmed transcript or an exchange viewers saw in the aired premiere. The available reporting also does not establish why producers omitted the answer, whether the footage was destroyed, or that ABC officially confirmed Strader made the statement.
The July 8, 2024, premiere did include a Truth or Dare sequence, but the controversial conspiracy answer attributed to Strader reportedly did not appear in the episode. Reality Steve’s own site is the primary commentator source associated with the disclosure, while the entertainment report provides the account of the alleged unaired moment.
How did Reality Steve’s spoiler compare with what aired?
Reality Steve’s pre-finale report and the televised finale tell two related but different stories: the spoiler correctly named Tran’s final pick, while the broadcast later showed that the engagement did not last.

What happened between Jenn Tran and Devin Strader?
Tran and Strader left Hawaii engaged after Tran proposed to him during the filmed finale. Tran said she made the proposal because she wanted to “choose herself in this journey,” according to ABC’s account of the finale.
Tran said Strader later became less communicative. The couple had planned a couples-counseling appointment in August, but Tran said Strader called her the night before the appointment and ended the engagement. According to Tran’s account, Strader told her that he no longer loved her or felt the same way.

The result made the season’s outcome unusually complicated: Reality Steve correctly predicted whom Tran would choose, but the engagement dissolved before the public reunion. The spoiler was accurate as a prediction of the finale’s filmed result, not as a prediction of a permanent relationship.
Was Maria Georgas involved in Jenn and Devin’s breakup?
There is no sourced confirmation that Maria Georgas and Devin Strader had a romantic relationship or that Georgas caused the breakup. Strader’s decision to follow Georgas on Instagram after ending his engagement became part of Tran’s confrontation with him on After the Final Rose.
Tran said the Instagram follow “completely invalidated our entire relationship,” according to ABC News’ report on the finale. Georgas later said she had never met Strader, did not follow him back, and had no involvement in the split. Georgas stated, “I have nothing to do with the ending of the relationship,” as reported by ABC News.
The documented sequence is narrower than some social-media speculation: Strader followed Georgas after the breakup, Tran questioned him about that action on television, and Georgas denied involvement. The available reporting does not support presenting Georgas and Strader as a confirmed couple.
