Carpani died in the early hours of Sunday, 7 December 2025. Her parents, Tony and Gael Carpani, announced her death in a statement shared by her sister Georgia on 15 December. They said she had “unexpectedly but peacefully passed away after a long battle with chronic illness,” as reported by ABC News.

Carpani had previously spoken about endometriosis and adenomyosis and described chronic pain, according to ABC News. That history does not establish that either condition caused her death.
Who did Rachael Carpani play in McLeod’s Daughters?
Carpani played Jodi Fountain in the Australian drama. The South Australian Film Corporation says she appeared in nearly 180 episodes between 2001 and 2009 and received two Logie nominations in 2007: the Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress and the Gold Logie.
