Queen Camilla wore the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara at the Diplomatic Corps Reception at Windsor Castle on 18 November 2025. Because Princess Eugenie wore the same tiara at her 2018 wedding, some royal commentators read Camilla’s choice as a possible gesture of support. Neither Camilla nor the Palace has confirmed that interpretation.
Which tiara did Queen Camilla wear?
The tiara is identified in coverage as the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik. Camilla wore it for the Diplomatic Corps Reception at Windsor Castle on 18 November 2025. Its connection to Princess Eugenie is especially visible: Queen Elizabeth II lent it to Eugenie for her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank, according to Marie Claire’s account.
The same report describes rose-cut pavé diamonds set in platinum and seven cabochon emeralds, including a central emerald it gives as 93.7 carats. These details are media-reported rather than verified here against a Royal Collection record.
Was Camilla’s choice a deliberate message to Eugenie?
It is a plausible interpretation, not a confirmed motive. Woman & Home royal editor Emma Shacklock suggested the choice could be a small nod of support for Eugenie, while acknowledging it might be coincidence. Her commentary does not cite a statement from Camilla or the Palace confirming the intention. Royal Central also offers a supportive reading, but likewise does not establish who chose the tiara or why: Royal Central’s report.

The distinction matters: the tiara’s association with Eugenie is documented in the coverage, but the meaning assigned to Camilla’s later choice is commentary. Without confirmation from a decision-maker, “message of support” should be understood as a reading of the gesture, not a known explanation.
Is the tiara really worth $13 million?
The reported estimate behind the headline is £10 million. Marie Claire attributes it to diamond expert Maxwell Stone of UK jeweler Steven Stone, saying the firm had previously estimated the distinctive jewel at that amount. The dollar figure is a currency conversion, not a separate valuation. This is a jeweler’s estimate as reported by media—not an official appraisal, verified sale price or publicly established Royal Collection value.

Marie Claire reports that the jewel belonged to Dame Margaret Greville, that her jewels passed to the Queen Mother and later to Queen Elizabeth II after the Queen Mother’s death in 2002, and that Elizabeth II lent the tiara to Eugenie.
