Prime Day 2025 offered eligible Prime members three months of Kindle Unlimited at no charge, but the offer ended July 11, 2025. It is a past promotion, not an offer readers can claim now. Amazon’s published details explain what the trial included, how members could read, and what happened if they kept the subscription.
When the Prime Day Kindle Unlimited offer was available
Amazon’s 2025 Prime Day event ran from July 8 through July 11, a 96-hour promotion. Eligible Prime members could get three months of Kindle Unlimited free through the event’s final day. The offer has expired; Amazon’s announcement does not establish whether a similar promotion is available now. Amazon’s Prime Day 2025 announcement is the source for the offer and its dates.
What Kindle Unlimited included
Amazon described Kindle Unlimited as a paid monthly subscription with access to more than five million digital books, plus thousands of audiobooks, comics, manga, and magazines. Subscribers could borrow up to 20 digital books, audiobooks, or comics at a time. The offer was a subscription trial, not ownership of every title in the catalog.
Amazon’s 2025 page listed the U.S. subscription price as $11.99 per month plus taxes. That is the price stated in the 2025 announcement, not a verified current rate.

How members could read
A Kindle e-reader was not required. Amazon said subscribers could read on Kindle devices or use the free Kindle app on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. A dedicated e-reader may suit people who want separate reading hardware; the app lets readers use a device they already own.
What happened after the free period
Amazon said the subscription would continue unless the customer canceled. Its announcement directed members to cancel through Your Kindle Unlimited Account. The published page does not spell out every account-specific eligibility condition or post-trial term, so readers should not assume that an old promotion’s terms apply to a different offer.
