Priced Out is a documentary about gentrification in Portland, Oregon, told in part through Nikki Williams, who first welcomed neighborhood change and later found herself among the last Black residents on her block. Directed by Cornelius Swart, the film follows the personal costs of change alongside the city’s history of housing discrimination and displacement.

This is the documentary’s particular story and framing, not a claim that every Portland neighborhood—or every resident—experienced change in the same way.
Priced Out is directed by Cornelius Swart and is a sequel to his 2002 documentary NorthEast Passage: The Inner City and the American Dream. The official film site presents it as a 2017 documentary; distributor Collective Eye Films lists a 2016 production year and a 63-minute runtime. Those are differently attributed catalog details, rather than a single universally stated year.

The film’s official homepage lists YouTube, iTunes, Google Play and Amazon as viewing routes, and also points to Kanopy. The official blog announced Kanopy availability on December 7, 2018. How can an organization screen or license the film?
The filmmaker’s purchase and licensing page distinguishes institutional DVDs and digital licenses from a one-year Vimeo streaming rental and community screening kits. These options serve different uses: an institutional copy or license is not automatically an unrestricted consumer copy, and public performance or distribution permissions depend on the terms of the selected license.
